Thinking of selling my 15 M4 for a 12 R8 V10

I have this disease that I can't keep a car for longer than 2 years. I had a chance to drive a friend's 2010 Audi R8 V10 and loved the sound and performance of the car. I found a 2012 Audi R8 V10 6-speed with 17k miles at an Audi dealership that is super clean and out of warranty but qualifies for an aftermarket Fidelity warranty. I know that I'm going to take a beating on the M4 but I can get the Audi for right under $100k and the original sticker was about $170k. Am I crazy for considering this?

If you can keep the V10 R8 for a long time, you're likely to pay nothing for the car. It will be an appreciating asset in manual.

I'd do it if I wasn't afraid of the maintenance/repairs. I ran into one last Sunday. I heard that thing come up behind me as he downshifted - and it made the M4 sound... well... you know.

I thought Fidelity only sold warranties before the factory warranty expired. If you go this route, check with Troy at FD Warranty as I bought policies from him on Audi's for 60% of the price quoted by local dealers.

Generally I'd prefer newer cars to those 4-5 years old but if you really want the R8 it might be an itch you need to scratch.

If you have the means, by all means....do it. You can always get another M4. But a V10 R8.....

Of course go for it and no looking back, none whatever!

V10 NA manual is a dream engine drivetrain combination

That R8 body looks more sexy as well.

Rotors, pads and tires were just replaced by the Audi dealer.

I'm pulling the trigger and doing the deal! I am going to miss the M4, but the roar of the V10 is intoxicating.

I will have a few parts to sell off the M4 including ER Charge Pipes, Bavsound Ghost Subwoofers and the stock 437 wheels with 275/295 MPSS tires but I'll post these items once I sell the M4.

This.

Get it if the warranty will cover it for at least 3 years. Only negative is the car is already 4 years old and it's an audi. What might the residuals be after 3 years? What color is the car, got any pics? They are mean in black.

On a serious note with that kind of money i think you'd be better off in a porsche...at least it will perform as good as it looks. The R8 is all show and no go IMO
