Who else is considering the Giulia Quadrifoglio?
Assuming the car is as fun to drive as reviews say, there is a strong chance this might be my next car.
I don't know what you guys think, but for me, it really boils down to how well Fiat stands behind this car. Are they going to offer competitive lease rates? Surely I am not the only one who wouldn't be caught dead with a $85,000 depreciating Italian product (I'm thinking Maserati) in their garage. Surely FCA knows this and has plans to address it upon release of the car? |

I am considering it, but A) it has to deliver and 1) If depreciates at the bottom of the class probably not a good buy as a 1st time user.
Time will tell if its a failure |

I'm waiting to see some of them in the wild at local HPDE, and to see how they do again F80 with R tires, and how they handle the heat before I would consider one

Not my cup of tea, but really like the fact that it is so unique in this market.

Only way I would drive one is if it came with a MT. However, I wouldn't want the first generation. I'm curious to see how it does in a few years when they sort the kinks and go head-to-head with the competitors.

If I get stationed in Germany for my next assignment I'll most likely part with my M for one. Figured that would be a good place to own one, and then depending on where I go next and how the car has treated me bring it back with me to the states.
I do want to see how people like them and if there are any issues with the first year/see how it handles depreciation (made that mistake with the new model Mustang and I won't do it again). But this car looks promising and I absolutely love the look of it.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
I dig the looks and the sound, the Ferrari influence etc but it's an Alfa. They break. and when they break they break heavy and they cost heavy to repair. I'll sit here and wait for people to buy them and see how reliable they are, and then offer my counselling services when they break. |

I was considering one but was concerned about reliability and they've taken forever to come out with lease numbers so I picked up an M. There's absolutely no way I would buy a first year Alfa, and it's not much fun to own a car that's in the shop all the time. The reviews have been great and it seems like a stellar car, will definitely be on the radar next time if it's everything it seems to be.

It kept my attention for a little while, but then realized it's altogether too similar to the M3. Twin-turbo 6 cylinder mid-size sedan that sounds marginally better than the M3... until Alfa can bring a game changing product, I'll stick with M or AMG.

Looks like a Pontiac from front. For the same money, M all the way. Ride comfort is big for me but wouldn't ever consider this car.

After 10 years and 83k miles on my 2007 e92 335 I am in the market for an upgrade. The Giulia QV is definitely at the top of my list with the M3 a close second. All of the reviews have been superb and looks are purely subjective. I for one think it is beautiful and certainly stands out against the usual suspects in this class. Everybody knocks Alfa's reliability but that is based on distant history so I am willing to give them a chance with the new platform. I was an early adopter with my e92 and didn't have any issues with a first year production vehicle including the dreaded HPFP.
My last 4 cars have been 6-spd so I am disappointed to hear that as of now the manuals will not make it to the US. If I go M3 I will still do 6-spd but if I go Alfa I have to lose the 3rd pedal. I do like that when in manual mode the Alfa will not automatically upshift or downshift for you, it will simply bounce off the rev limiter. You truly have to do everything yourself including downshifting when coming to a stop so there is zero computer intervention. I read the shifts are done in 100 milliseconds which is on par with the 458 gearbox so it is way faster and smoother than any human let alone my skills . Chris Harris praised the automatic and wasn't thrilled with the manual so I am open to change. There is a possibility they could offer a manual in the future so my thoughts are to potentially lease when I am ready to pull the trigger and then if a manual is available later then go that route when the lease is up. I have never leased a car so I need to do some homework on what is a good lease rate and the advantages over financing. The only reasons I am considering a lease are due to the transmission and first year production issues. Giulia QV + - Ferrari Engine - Positive on-track reviews – predictable handling, precise steering, good throttle response - Sound - Unique - Italian Styling - Few options needed, many options on M3 are standard on QV M3 + - 6 speed available - Euro Delivery - Proven Track Record - Proven Reliability - Everything else that makes the M3 great Regardless of what happens it’s great to have two amazing vehicles to choose from and look forward to back-to-back test drives
