Auto start/stop

Does the 2018 F80 have the auto start/stop on the engine? I would think this is terrible.

Pretty sure every bmw has it. But you can simply turn it off.

And you get used to it, especially if you are not in stop-and-go traffic. I actually think it's kind of neat. I mean, when you think about it, why have the engine running at a 2 minute traffic light?

Imagine the extra wear and tear on your poor starter motor though. My buddies shop is starting to see a lot more starter repairs as this "feature" is now out of warranty on most vehicles.

Much prefer my car car to stay running until I turn it off...
