My neck of the woods
It's tough living in Oklahoma; we have to deal with all of the environmental stuff that comes with the midwest and then we have to deal with the roads. Less than ideal... Oklahoma is definitely flyover country right?
Driving into work; hello Monday. Is there going to be a tornado? Maybe. Is it going to hail? Probably. Then it NEVER rains. And you all think California is dry... There are no good cars or drives to go on... Then there are the towns; nothing to see here guys(and Lups), just oil wells and windmills and fires ...keep on driving Last but not least are the roads, straight and flat, not made for sporty cars at all, right? Oklahoma rocks, just sayin'. What does your area look like? Anything unexpected or surprising? Let's see it....

I think they tried to put hail in the name of the state but ran out of room... bigger than softball yesterday an hour away from here. BIGGER than softball. That's a damn bomb.

Car looks good! I'm a big fan of the 18's. Screw that hail nonsense tho.. last summer there was a day with a hail, I dunno, watch? I mapped out every gas station and bank drive thru on my commute home.

great photos, and agreed to everyone about the 18s...
question tho - some of those roads look pretty gravely.... are you actually driving aggressively on them? and if so how much gravel throw up are you getting.... pretty worried about the rear fenders etc with how crappy the roads can be in my area |

I feel like I get so much sun in California that I get excited when the rain comes. Don't know if anyone feels the same

Seriously, how do you guys out in the mid-west and south deal with the threat of hail? I imagine you are used to it and really there isn't anything you can do to prevent it, but damn, I think I have PTSD from encountering hailstorms out in my cars in southeast PA. It is the worst! I watch the radar like a hawk with the threat of sever storms...

While I can't comment on what it's like to live in Oklahoma, they get more tornados/severe weather than we do here in the Great Lakes area, but when there is a chance of hail here, I just keep an eye on the weather and plan on driving my "beater", instead of a car I spend hours each month working to keep the paint perfected. It can be a hassle, but what can I say "First World Problems"
