Cards are authorized at sign-up, but not billed. You saw an authorization on your card. They're billed now that the deal has closed.
Monday or Tuesday sets start going out the door, and they'll all be out by our promised ship date. There's nothing more to it.

We’ve just received our shipment of tires for this Group Buy, and we’re beginning the process of mounting, balancing, and preparing your wheels & tires for shipment. Stay tuned and look for a shipment notification email over the next couple weeks as we begin fulfilling orders.

got my tires and wheels
anyone elses wheels have an unusually large amount of weighted tape? am i wrong in assuming wheels of this quality should be balanced better than this? one wheel has a strip 10" long.

Wow, I usually don't mind getting new wheels that needed to be balanced, but at what point to you consider it a defective product?

We thought this comment may come up. These winter tires just need some weight unfortunately. Our wheels typically do not need much weight and we often see our wheels balance with no weight. There's a misconception that we're balancing out the flaws of a wheel. We're really balancing a wheel, tire, and TPMS sensor as one unit, and tires can have huge variances. Being in the industry we find it surprising that almost always the wheel is blamed and not the tire when it's the tire that has more chances of being molded funky. We only have high end equipment and we have a high standard for product that's sent out. Simply put, if we saw anything that looked odd we were ready to warrant the wheel ourselves and just pull new stock. No point in shipping out a wheel that needs to come back. I think one wheel was set aside in that process. These were all Hunter road force balanced, and when weights were higher than the norm we match mounted them (dismount, spin to optimal position based on feedback from mounter, and remounted to reduce weight). The whole point of road force balancing is to apply pressure to the tire and make up for the high and low spots in the tire because it's the tire that can have a lot of variation. With the special arms on our balance we can easily measure the run-out and other variables that would cause a wheel to need excessive weight. Let me know if you have any other questions.
