For 6mt owners - not slippy for heal/toe? Any drawbacks with these?

That's My question too..Is It Slippery or noisy?

What if u don't like it and need to go back to rubber ones, is that an issue considering holes drilled?

Can u also post the part #

Just installed mine last week. Looks great and matches the dead pedal now. This is how it should have come straight from the factory. Grip is the same as stock. I didn't notice any issues with slippage or thickness. Reverting back to stock should be fine. The brake pedal holes are covered by the stock rubber brake pedal cover. The gas pedal would show two tiny holes that are hardly noticeable.

No slippage, no problems. Heel/toe just fine. No reason to ever go back to stock.

Honestly, it is one of my favorite mods. It doesn't add power but it sure adds satisfying panache when hopping into the driver's seat.

How long did you have these? Did the rubber wear down? How slippery did they get?

Had them for 7 years. Never wore down. Weren't any slipper than normal pedals. Got them on my M3 and they've been great so far.

I know this is just a silly cosmetic mod that most people won't notice or care about, and adds no functional value. But I thought it was a nice touch, and it was relatively easy to do. Also, I heard somebody say it reduces unsprung weight by 15 lbs and gives you a 20 HP increase

Some quick notes on what I did:

First, you have to remove the old rubber on the brake and clutch. They just pull right off. Easy. Then, you have to drill holes in the brake and clutch. Patience and a steady hand are key here. It's not hard, but I've heard of others breaking drill bits. I didn't break a single drill bit. Of note, the brake is significantly harder to drill than the clutch. The brake is all steel, and a thicker gauge. The leaver arm of the clutch is plastic. However, the brake has much less travel, so it is easier in that regard. The nuts and bolts that come with the set had me worried initially. The bolts are not metal piercing, and you need to screw them down with a nut. I thought, " how the hell am I gonna get a wrench back there to hold the nut steady?" But that was pretty easy as well. I just used a mini socket wrench. It fits, and does the job. The T-star bolts offer good grip. The accel pedal is made entirely of plastic, and the SS pedal is simply a cover that attaches mostly by double sided tape, which is already on the thing. It does require drilling a couple holes, which is also very easy. I collected all the shavings on a cloth, as I thought it would be difficult to vacuum out afterwards.

Overall, pretty easy, and I think it adds a nice aesthetic that compliments the car.
Thanks for this! Just finished installing mine, inspired by your thread and photos. I'd upload mine - but basically it looks identical to yours.

It was a super easy install after reading your thread - took only 20 min (I was really surprised). Thanks again

Can someone please tell me how much they paid to get this installed? I'm not handy by any means and cannot do this myself -_-

And if there are any recommended shops here in SoCal to get this done would be great.

Agree with previous poster who stated the car should have come from the factory like this. Nevertheless, great inexpensive mod!

Just installed these today and I am very happy with them. I know some think it's a crime to not use the M Perf parts but these were $29 shipped! I doubt many if any could tell the difference.

I just spent two hours fishing one of the nuts out from inside the break arm. There is an opening just below the top left corner on the backside of the break pedal. If not for a ton of patience and a lot of luck, I would have been screwed.

Use a piece of electrical tape to cover the opening before you attempt to fit the nut to the screw. In the end, all is well.
