Agreed, they are not winter mats if you live in an area that has any appreciable amount of snow.

This is what I'm using today in my SO interior, color match perfectly with seats

I hate to revive the old thread, but can anyone confirm that F80 red sportline mats fit F80 ? And look half decent?

TIA,

I ordered them and they look awesome. Easy cleaning and they have rubber on the back which keeps water from getting in the carpeted area. It does a good job so far during winter time, most likely order another pair for summer. Great mats

Thanks guys, I just ordered a set.

We'll see how it works with SO/SS car. M performance mats are way too grey for my taste.

I've had them for a while and like them overall. The grey is turning a bit brown from dirt, but as others have said here, they're easy to wash. I'm a bit behind on my washing so I'm wondering if I'll be able to get all the brown out next time.

One gripe now that we're in the thick of winter, is that small bits of salt and dirt give me a little grinding sensation on my right heel as it rests on the gas. Nothing big, but something that a short-pile mat prevents. I just have to get the hand vac out a bit more.

I have the f30 performance mats in all black. . . I didn't want to get the red ones since red =/= sakhir orange. They are a great fit and they seem to do a good job stopping all my salty snowy water from getting all over the carpet. The last two mornings before work I've had a tiny little puddle in the mat that has been completely frozen!

The top surface works well with my rubber bottom loafers, great traction with no rug pile interference. Sounds funny but it works. So, if you can get them for free, don't hesitate, they are surely much better than the ones that come with the car. Pointing out how bad the OEM ones are, is a winning strategy that any dealership associate can't defend once you see what comes in the car compared to earlier M series mats that were included.
I too have black interiors in my car and have thought about these. Is it M logo overkill though? Door sills and then on the mats right away? Can you post some pics to see how well it contrasts with the interior of the car? Thanks!

OK, I can confirm that regular F30 mats are a perfect match for F80.
I also found that the red border (sport) mats work really well with SO exterior, at least to my eye.

They can't just put m Perf mats standard on a $90,000 car? It's bad enough we have to pay thousands of dollars for a back up camera and LED lights.. Comon BMW

I agree. Maybe they have a tacit agreement with third party vendors. The aftermarket industry for these cars must be in the hundreds of millions...

Those black rubbers are a winner. Add an //M badge and you would have perfection.
Exactly what I got, 4-series all weather but in all-black

Performance Boost from M-Performance Floor Mats??

All,

I am considering getting the M Performance Floor Mats. I have heard that they will improve the performance of the car by increasing Horsepower by 15 and Torque by 20. I also hear they make the exhaust note sound a lot deeper and meaner, as well as improving the steering feel...

I'll only get these floor mats if they do all of these things....

Just kidding...

Do they look cool?

Any pics you could share would be great.

I'm kinda doubtful about them. You see my car is Yas Marina Blue with Sakhir Orange Interior. So the stock floor mats which are black go well with that combo. I certainly wouldn't wanna add a 3rd color to the mix and make it look like a circus inside so it all depends on what your car color / interior is.

And let's face it, you're never gonna be looking at them after the first few times you open up the car anyway, they're just floor mats. It's a personal choice.

Look how ugly they look here because of the interior color for example:

But with this color combo, they look good:

I have a MG Black Full interior on the way. Figured the silver mats might add a little subtle color to a dark color combo.
