M4 with factory tint + aftermarket front tint

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi,

I got factorty tinted windows and yesterday I got the front windows tinted. factory tint was a 35 or so, and I chose the fronts to be 40 tint. The look blends quite well, not too dark from most angles. This picture is quite dark from side view. It varies alot with sun angle etc. I am very satisfied

OP....when you say "factory" does that mean the car came off the assembly line like that or your dealer performed the tint?

Yes, except the front windows, driver & passenger side. It is actualy illegal to tint those here, but police never bother...

Yes, from factory.
But it's not a tinted film on the windows, the windows themself has a darker glass.

Interesting, I have never heard of this! So in theory, should one need to replace the glass in one of the windows, they could elect to have their shop order the glass that comes this darker film using the correct part number, correct?!

Should be at the bottom. The option is called 420 if I recall correct.

"Abgedunkelte Verglasung S420A = JA"

For some reason this is not offered by BMWNA.
But it looks great, and because it's not a film, but dark glass, you don't see the lines from the heated rear windows or the matrix dots.
