After my initial run in with a painted lightweight lip and a curb I decided to make the lip my winter option and will buy a new CF lip this spring.
I had the lip line-x coated in their metallic colour matched paint. The AY was an absolute Bi*** to match but I'm impressed with the outcome. Will install this weekend and update with pics |

It should be much stronger with that Line-x. Great idea!

By making it stronger, you’re transferring any force into it onto whatever is supporting it. In this case, the OEM bumper... You’ll either rip the screws out, break the lip again, or mis-align your bumper (if you hit a curb again). Good job.

Condescending much? I mean you MAY be 100% correct. Just not sure why u gotta say it all sarcastic like that. Do you need a hug or something? (not offering just identifying your issues lol)

My therapist doesn’t feel hugs will fix my issue. However, I like the LineX idea, certainly against rocks and small road debris, but if hitting curbs is your thing, you may be better off with a X3.

lol shit happens man, I don't think there is one person among us who hasn't underestimated our distance from a parking brick or a curb once in our lifetime and that bumper crunches as it crests over the top of end of the space. Again point well made. Just wouldn't kill ya to be a little nicer. It's the holidays... be happy! Feliz Kwanza!

The M is extremely well planted in the snow with good winter tires. Nokian Hakka 8 studded and I've yet to get stuck, or completely lose traction. The only thing that hinders the car is the height; she turns into a snow plow lol |
