let it be a lesson to you guys... no reason to be that judgemental... it's not posing... I knew it wasn't an m and didn't expect anyone to think it was due to some small stripes. |

I have a grey F80 and put the colored mine. I think it looks great on the dark car.
If I'm gay it's news to me with a wife and three kids!

I'm at a loss to understand why it's seen as fake badging if it's not an M car but in the same breath a lot of you are saying it shouldn't be on an M car. Make your mind up. Hell of a lot of snobbery when it comes to M cars around these parts. Insecure much
OP, do it if you like them. I had them on my 328 and thought they looked great as did most people. A little splash of colour looks good. I've contemplated doing on my M3 but not sure if I want to keep it stealth or add some colour yet. |

I actually saw the puddle lights in person on GotM car and I didn't mind it.
Gave it some weird flavor and not just bright lights when you open the door but I have a personal preference for less is better when it comes to modding. Although I found it oddly funny BMW San Francisco put it on a car hehe. That is probably why I'll end up getting the M4/M3CS Front Lip instead of my original M Perf CF Splitter + PSM combo. I really prefer my less is more approach.

I think the pre-painted grilles from IND are the way to go. I think the stripes look good. Considering all the other cosmetic modifications that M owners indulge in, it's funny that this one issue gets some people so worked up.

Reminds me back in the 90's when the import scene was really growing...the northern Cali cars, most would always have stripes and SoCal cars did not. Everyone got their own taste, but to me they look like crap. Like there isn't enough M or stripes on the car already.
