Anyone have issues with a dealer installing M Perf parts?

I missed out on having the port install the splitter kit and rear spoiler so now I'm having the dealer do it. But between the 2 of them, I'd rather have had the port do the install. Not sure how many of these the dealer has actually installed themselves. I don't want them messing things up, especially when you have to drill holes and remove and reinstall a rear lip spoiler.

It would be awesome if I could just drive to the port and have them do it. I pass by them twice a day. lol

I had the dealer install the rear spoiler as the port were out of stock when my car was there - and they sent it to their (Penske) body shop to be done because none of their techs felt qualified to do it.

Where in Cali are you. If in So Cal you are short drive away from some of the best shops: AutoTalent, EAS, TAG Motorsports (all forums sponsors btw). Prices are better elsewhere too.

Agree that if you are in SoCal you have tons of options and can get it done for less. If you do have the dealer install, I wouldn't worry too much. The rear spoiler is not bolted on at all. It goes on with 3M automotive adhesive. Only the front splitter and lip require holes, but are on the underside so even if they do mess up, you will not be able to see it.

+1. I've had experience to say all positive things with AutoTalent and EAS. They and other shops in SoCal are a better bet to install M perf parts than the dealer! They've done the installs countless times and will do it the quickest and most accurate!

Thanks, my dudes!

I'm in Thousand Oaks. EAS, TAG and Supreme are far from me. AutoTalent is the one I couldn't remember and is probably the closest.

Damn, they're in Gardena?

Isn't there a shop in the Valley? lol

I’m in Camarillo and understand your pain lol.
Rusnak or Steve Thomas should be able to do the install.

Just make a day out of it if you go to AutoTalent. Hang out, Uber to a strip mall and get some grub/shop.

I decided to just have the dealer do the front lip. Not sure about them doing the rear deck lid yet. I don't want to drive long distances without XPEL. So, as soon as the front's done, film is going on couple days later. 1/4th of my car looks like YMB right now. lol
