Updated With F80 M3 Renders in White: Many members asked for a preview of a white F80 M3, so that's what we've added below. We had a little bit of fun with black/dark wheels and a black roof, but it does not represent carbon fiber as we do not expect the F80 to be fitted with a carbon roof. We do expect the F82 M4 coupe to feature it, however.

If you've been tracking our homepage or this M3 section, you've surely seen the flurry of F80 M3 test mule sightings in the past week or so [spy pics].

Not only have the sightings become more frequent, but they've also been more revealing. With the latest rounds of spy photos, we now have a fairly good idea of what to expect from the 2014 M3 sedan's front end styling.

The F80 will feature a hood bump and a very aggressive front bumper/apron with a what looks to be a mix of elements from the M6 and 1M's styling - M6 style air vents with fins at the top and an upwardly angled top line, potentially paired with 1M styled air curtain vent styling and position.

We also added double-slat grilles and a M3 grille badge, both in the style of the 2013 M6. This is purely speculative, but we wouldn't be surprised to see these incorporated on the upcoming M3.

With these new revelations in mind, we've put together a set of renders previewing what the production F80 M3 may look like. Enjoy!

I see greatness but I also see BMW stuck in a corner. The car has very admirable traits but also has to contend with the underlying boxiness of the new design.

The E generation was definitely sportier and thus better, if you're talking M3.

Sorry but I disagree. This looks better than the E90 M3 even though the E90 is beautiful already.

And that's coming from and E90 owner.

Beautiful renders bimmerpost!

I like it, but I hope it's a little more bold than the M5/M6 which are both a bit on the conservative side IMO.

Renderings looks more aggressive than the e9x M3's.

Take a look at this pic. The BMW on the right is just an F30 3-series with ///M performance goodies. It definitely looks more aggressive than the e92 M3 next to it. The lower front headlights and no longer slanted front grills make it look a lot more aggressive than the e92 M3.

I enjoy looking at these renders. My personal belief is the new M3 will look like a reduced size M5. My bets for the engine are 3.0 liter, 2 bar of boost, large twin scroll turbo, electric supercharger for low end oomph and the new part of the valve gear will be cylinder deactivation. I don't have inside information, just guesses.

It will look much more aggressive than just a mini M5.

The spyshots already show that pretty clearly and the renders show it even more.

With the kidneys being smaller there is too much of a gap between them and the middle air intake.....giving the appearance of a small "mouth".

I'm hoping the final product corrects this....

My guess is three turbos. Two up stream, and one down stream.

I so agree with this ^^^ also the e9x has the V8 and that is why it will be my last M3
