BMW-CCA
I recently met up with the local BMW-CCA chapter for a breakfast and decided to join. Aside from the basics listed in the literature as reasons for joining. What have you experienced as benefits or consequences in being part of the club.

I have been a member for 38 years and I haven't found a downside yet. Many plusses like meeting great people, participating in terrific events, fantastic drives, seeing new places, discounts, newsletter, magazine, etc.
If you participate you will enjoy it - if you don't, you won't.

Paul,
I am located in the Tidewater area. I am going to affiliate with the Tidewater group seeing they are fairly close. My daughter and boyfriend live in your area, so I may be in the neighborhood when something is going on. I heard your chapter is pretty large and are able to do more than the typical club..I.E. Monthly publications, etc.

As others have stated, you get significantly more out of it if you participate (or better yet, volunteer and help out). I've been lucky enough to do quite a lot of very cool BMW/car related things over the years
