Did I hear that right? Alfa was over 4s per lap slower?

Around 1:08 the test driver is commenting the Alfa might be broken and isn't making as much power as it should.

That explains the big lap time gap but is a bigger issue, in my opinion, that the QV isn't working properly/consistently at the track.

Would be interesting to repeat the test with a base m4 with cup 2 tires and a working Alfa

Nice vid OP thanks!

Agreed, not a fair comparison. Should be M3 CP vs QV.

There are quite a few examples of zcp m3's beating qv times on track with stock tires, I am not surprised at the m4 cs track performance, although the drag was a bit of a shocker to see the m4 not only have better traction, but even when the QV hooked up, it wasn't pulling on the M. I think the weight is one factor, but I wouldn't be surprised if the ZF8 was modulating torque a bit as well, vs the snap of the dct. There are certain times my x5m does not seem to be making full power on wot, and I suspect the same zf8 tranny is one cause.

I just want to see a QV against ZCP or even a base m3 on same cup tires.

Definitely think the tires on the QV is making it look like a better car than it really is on the track. That and the quick ratio steering.

No..... please someone compare the Alfa vs the m3/4 comp with cup tires, the results will not be in favor of Alfa even in the closest.

How about the Alfa vs the M4CS on Sport Cup 2 tires instead?

There is a foot note with the track times. The cars were not tested in the same track conditions...

exactly and track times show .5 tenths of a second difference in favor of BMW over Alfa.

This particular test has the Alfa QV faster than the M4CS by 0.1 seconds...

But like I said, the cars were not tested in the same track conditions.

Looks wise, the m4 is 4 years old and still looks more menacing and modern than the homely QV. IMO of course.
