For me personally, one of the primary reasons I am buying an M4 over a Porsche is that I need a four passenger car to haul my kids around in. The fact they deleted the arm rest / cup holders in the backseat is genuinely annoying. Is it a deal breaker? Of course not, but it is really annoying not to have cup holders back there.

Thank you for the write-up Sam.
I've really enjoyed it and your point of view is certainly one of the more constructive reviews i've read.

Is there really a braking advantage to the CCB? I read from a BMW M engineer that they mostly offer significantly less fade and heat buildup compared to the stock brakes, but no braking advantage. ie, similar grip, pedal feel and overall characteristic and braking distance. I feel they are being overhyped a bit in the media circles.
Anyone care to shed some light and provide maybe some quotes! Thanks. |

Well there must be at least 50 f80 M3 reviews to date, but it didn't prevent this fellow from posting another one. And claiming CCB superiority nonetheless. So it is fair to ask the question and challenge such statement.
But thanks for pointing out that this forum has a search function. That is very kind of you. |

But it has been covered a zillion times. To summarize very quickly: no difference in normal driving (stop in same time, etc). Difference is just in how quickly you get to fade on track. If you want quotes and articles, use the search function we both now know exists - you will find them (hint: start in the brakes/chassis subforum) (and BTW, this isn't a new review. Sam did his review last summer. he just updated the written review with a video. and it was the official review for this entire website/forum so, yeah, it gets to be updated like that)

Interesting that You where allowed to wear a helmet!
I asked BMW AG why they did not provide helmets for the BMW Driving Experience. The answer was it was dangerous to use it in conjunction with Airbag systems. So had they deactivated them for this drive?
