First 6-Speed 10 second F8X M3/M4

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I have been toying with the car lately and finally had a chance to get it to the track on a good night. The car performed flawlessly and I was extremely happy with the results. To my knowledge we are the FIRST to break the 11 second barrier with a 6-speed car and the fastest.

The car is running a slew of our TPG parts , running a back end flash facilitated from Mike at Maximum PSI and Jordan at RK Tunes and utilizing a JB4 for boost control. It is still on a very conservative map with low ignition timing and MS109. If I decide to keep the car, I will be switching it to E85 and turning it up. I believe the car has a 10.5 or better in it with more timing an ethanol.

For now I am extremely happy and excited to be apart of this milestone for the platform. Better videos coming shortly.

Timeslip:

60 FT - 1.5399
330 FT - 4.5682
1/8th ET - 7.0202
1/8th MPH - 102.23
1000 ET - 9.1173
1000 MPH - 116.52

1/4 ET - 10.8695
1/4 MPH - 129.42

Big thanks to :

He just simply corrected you because you worded it incorrectly. You wrote that you broke the 10 second barrier meaning you ran a sub 10 second time. You broke the 11 second barrier.

very impressive though

My apologies. We had quite a bit of criticism the last time we posted a timeslip and I jumped to a conclusion. Again my apologies.

I got to say, the time is impressive for such a few mods. Imagine if the car was stripped down.

Super impressive. How's the clutch holding up? That's ALOT more power through the stock clutch and we don't yet know the limits of the dual-plate clutch used in the f8x. Sounds like it's pretty strong

Surprisingly it's holding up well. I haven't had it slip once on me yet and that is a pretty killer 60ft.

Whats up with the tune the first 1/8th? You should be running .3-.4 faster with that 60.

There aren't many other M cars even relatively close to this time to my knowledge so comparing is very difficult. There is still a delay on boost coming back on between gears , most 6-speed guys know what I mean. We are working with Jordan to see if we can remedy that. I do believe the car has a 10.50 as is if that is resolved.

Last year when I ran an 11.30 I was using a WOT Box which greatly helped the transient response between gears. However I am not using that this year.

I was just looking at the time slip..... For sure that 60 is an F8x record. Impressive for an IRS rear. What tire?
