Speaking from personal experience, I have used Wolfgangs leather cleaner and conditioner for years. Have gotten nothing but positive feedback from my customers.
Have also heard that leatherique makes a great product as well. |

Honestly id just start with a microfibre cloth damp with distilled water. If you feel you need to really clean then use lexol leather cleaner. Personally i wouldnt bother with a conditioner.

there's really no need for a separate conditioner on modern pu coated leather as it'll just sit on top and never penetrate
so i only use a conditioner sparingly more for the leather smell than anything else, so i use zaino/duragloss/prima nourish which has the truest leather in a bottle smell to me, it's all the same stuff rebottled, duragloss is the cheapest way to buy it for cleaning, i have a few on hand pending what's needed at the time, my rec would be leatherique prestine clean for a quick wipe down with a damp mf then let air dry, and polish angel bella clean for a deep clean (apply with dry mf, wipe down with damp mf to remove excess, wipe down with dry mf) not to hate on anyone's parade, but those multi stage systems are really old school now, and no longer necessary when you get this type of cleaning in one step with modern products Last edited by domino_z; 11-12-2017 at 09:49 PM.. |

Lexol works great and won't break the bank. I use this brush I found on Amazon called "Colourlock" for the cleaning portion. It's a well known product for automotive use. It works amazing when enough water is used to lather up the leather.

Bro conditioner takes like 10 minutes to apply and buff out. What you're recommending is like taking a shower and cleaning yourself but not putting lotion.

The argument for leather conditioners on modern coated leather is for them to act as a sacrificial layer. Overtime wear and tear will degrade the coating on leather. Similar argument for waxes and sealants on clear coated paint.
