Featured on BIMMERPOST.com They use a BMW M4 and a BMW i8, among other cars, to make kids dreams come true. I wonder if they are members of the forums. |

What's wrong with you FM?! Your news feed makes us look good, and we can't have that, image is everything.
I hope they are. More of this is needed.

This is awesome. I was just telling my gf the other day about doing something like this if I'm ever financially capable.

As told, I refuse to drive anything else but my car, so I do my hobby runs in it too. A few days ago I was taking kitchen stuff to this couple that just got a roof under their heads for the first time for 2.5 years, the driveway was a little less than perfect as you can imagine. I parked Peter really badly on the sidewalk, I was just taking the pans and shit to their door and leaving. 3 minute job. A cop showed up, and I spent a lot of time explaining that yes, I know I'm in a bad neighborhood, yes, I know the car seems off here and yes, I know its parked like shit. The came the no answers run. No, I'm not buying drugs, no, I don't use those, no, I did not steal the car its mine and no, I don't care where i drive him as long as I'm driving him. He didn't give me a ticket I would've deserved, but it sure was wrong in his mind to use a car like that to take out the stuff I've blackmailed from my friends. Now boys, don't do as i did. No BMW parking in a BMW way.

(cynical me, though, says this is also a good way for the couple in question to try to get at least a partial charitable tax write off on their supercar hobby....but ignore me. My wife called me the Grinch this morning......which is not a label that lacks justification....)

This season wouldn't be the same without a grinch. Feel free to grinch on! Despite the tax implications of what this couple is doing, they really didn't need to take the time and effort to do what they are doing. They could have taken the easy way out and simply paid their taxes or wrote a check to a charity. Just my two cents. |

And I agree that there is genuine commitment from the couple in this new article, I'm just the kind of guy who isn't happy unless he has made some smart assed/cynical observation each and every day so this was today's. (or at least one of them....)
