Yeah, I know, I know - no one gets that color any more because everyone has it. But dammit, I love it and have wanted it since I bought my E36.

As a bonus, I got to sit 5 feet away from this while I was signing my papers. I was so excited, I got a really crappy cell phone pic from not being able to hold the phone still.

I'm somewhat curious about it, too. I'm not planning on tracking it either, though it will probably see duty as a stand-in for my E36 tracktoy when it becomes unavailable. That, and I wanted to configure it as closely to the E86M that it's replacing so it should have the diff to make it the baby-M that it's marketed to be (the 235 is as close to an M Coupe with a back seat for the "growing family" that's currently on the market.)

I'm glad you were able to get it so quickly and to play with it some on the weekend (and it came through quickly enough that Boris Said wasn't able to give test drives with it; he was giving lunchtime rides in a 135 at Fontana a couple years ago - that's what "executive" cars are for!)

Yes, I was a little surprised after my CA initially said it would be Tuesday or Wednesday after Virgo Leader docked. Not complaining (unless August sees some killer incentives....)

Yes, I've heard about "executive" cars. I had a line on a 2014 CPO M235i that seemed like a good deal with only 3,000+ miles, until I learned how executive cars were used.

I did find my first complaint - the style guys at BMW need to go talk to the delivery prep guys. There's no way in hell they would have made a wheel with so many hard-to-clean nooks and crannies if they had actually had to clean the damn things themselves with those brakes (New! Now, with more dust!) Holy Crap! Spent an hour cleaning the wheels and putting on a sealer in the hopes of making future cleanings at least a little easier. Those wheels are likely to be the first mod after tint. Even my stock E36 DS1 wheels are easier to clean, and I used to think _they_ sucked.

Just called the 800 number and confirmed to be at the VPC as of 25th/ with a dealer delivery date for July 30th!!! Give or take a day or two to prep- so she'll be prim and proper ride for drive off just as I get back from the wedding!!!!

I got the same 7/30 date from my CA this morning, so a pick up Thursday evening or Friday depending upon how early or late it shows up there on Thursday. Or the weekend if we still have open time then.

I got the word today that my car has an "estimated trucking date of 7/29" and will deliver in Seattle the first week in August (as I expected).

Apparently mine won't deliver for another 2 weeks. My dealer just sent off my paperwork to BMW FS, they have to do that since im an out of state purchase. They also have to wait for the title to come in so they can ready the necessary paperwork for me to register my vehicle in Texas and show my local tax assessor that i have paid taxes on the vehicle. This process can take 7-10 days. I'm still hoping for the best, im told it can and has happened quicker.
