Once you order a car they way you want it (like I did for my 135i) it's going to be hard just picking one out on the lot and buying it.

Yup, that's what it boils down to in my opinion.

Just merely having the option to pick whatever the hell you want will always deter you from buying any other way. Of of the 17 or so cars I have had, only five were the way I wanted them off the lot. It's always disappointing going to the dealer and feeling like you should settle, asking to order, finding a dealer that will entertain an order, etc. I'll take the discount, even if it's not as good as last time, but it's still something.

It's interesting you ask because Pentagon MSP was ready to take my deposit and it sounded like I could order a car right now if I wanted to. Who knows when it was going to be slated into production though.

Well I hav a deposit down and on my paper work the requested delivery date was late June which means it needs to be built may. My sales guy told me he'd know beginning of April when it would be. And sense reading that all the us dealers got allocations today I'm guessing they did too. What I don't know is does the mil sales program get allocations as a whole or does it depend on location. Of course the ones n Germany r bigger and sell more cars. I'm near the smallest pentagon car sales location in Spain. So I hope they don't get thrown to the back of the line just because they are small. But something else I read but don't know for sure was that the allocations they get aren't grouped in with the same ones the USA gets even though our cars are American spec too. So maybe that will be our saving grace to hopefully get one sooner.

Not a peep out of my guy, didn't even respond to a message I sent him regarding my bank.

I'm really hoping for these courses of actions:

- There are a different pool so we may have not been assigned yet but will soon, but have more allotted.
- the dealers just didn't get the bulliten today due to time zones
- pentagon will not be getting any dealer cars for their showrooms so they are selling us their stock.

Regardless, jockey said they were ready to take so hopefully that's a good sign. My SA kept saying I had a good chance of getting a launch car but got more vague as time went buy after I had already put the cash down, guess we will find out in a few hours!!

My guy just sent me an email this morning (european time) saying he's going to contact BMW admin this morning to see about military sales build slots. He will email me back his info good or bad as soon as he hears something. Will let you Guys know too.

I don't have an allocation number, but I am status. 111 with a build date in June (and was told I may be moved up) but I won't holds breath.

Looks like the military sales program is in fact a different pool.

Same thing I was told by my guy. Just got an email from him last night which was why I hadnt updated yet. He still really didnt answer my questions though as to if they had recieved some allocations for may or not but its ok I wont dwell on it. Status 111 is a good thing. Better than most of the US guys which many of them just went to that status this week.

My guy just told me the same - that currently there are no production slots in May, and mine is set for June, with VIN generation in later May.

Delivery is expected 3-4th week of July (7-8 weeks after the start of production).

Same here. Well YMB M4 for me. First BMW purchased through the military purchase program (and first BMW altogether) and by far the smoothest and most straight forward car buying process I've ever experienced. August cant come soon enough!

That's the same status I am 111. Looks like they requested a date to have it built 27 July but your confirmed production week is week 39 of the year if I'm looking at that correctly.
