Is it a demo or brand new?

If a demo, then you can squeeze more margin off. If it's brand new, 8% off is a decent deal right now. Depending on how close you get to the end of the year, they'll probably mark it down further.

Although, word of advice, never put any money down on a lease since you are not saving anything on interest. It simply reduces the capitalized cost component of the monthly payment.

It's brand new, were it a demo I'd push for 12% off the car. I really don't want to put cash down except to bring down the monthly payment to a more 'wife friendly' amount

Lol. I get it.

Basically, they're not making any money on the car because their margin is 8%.

If you're a BMW Club member (and have been for at least a year), you can also get an additional 2% off.

What's the residual % on the car?

Agreed. I can get a loaded M4 for $100 more than this M3 although it's a demo and won't have warranty for the tail end (6 months) of the lease which might be a scary thing

dealers are liars, I sure hope you know this. Min. margin on bmw is in the 10% range. Audi is too. MB is in the 11.5%. Mind you, this is not even the true, true margin once dealers factor in the factory to dealers sales target, monthly and yearly. Don't forget those bogus fees , excessive pdi and up charges as well

Prem pkg is not worth $4500. It is really a sucker package, IMO.

If you are happy with the discount. Then go for it. After all, you don't own the car, just go for the minimal and save the $ towards the next one.

FYI - lease rate for MY2017 - both rates are very high as of Dec 2016
42 or 48 months at 7.05%
36 or 39 months at 5.9%

Thanks...it's an option when you order that can be added at a later date by the dealer. Includes real time traffic, concierge, BMW remote etc. Worth 500 at build or 600 post build (software token and activation)
