How to delete secondary cats with MPE

Hi guys

Been running the mpe on my zcp for a couple months now

The zcp burbles are definitely more pronounced, but only go off below 4k rpm, so pottering around town the exhaust is full of theatre, great

But when im in hills stringing some corners together, and downshifting dropping revs above 4k, the theatre just isn't there. There is the blurt noise when getting off loaded throttle, but it gets drowned out over the wind/engine/road noise

Im now looking at removing the secondary cats to increase the volume

Is there any other way to do this other than spending 1700 on the fabpseed pipes?

I impulse bought the milltek pipes locally for 500 after a long drive last night, but looking at pics i'm going to most likely have to modify them to meet up with the mpe

So before i hack these pipes up, is there any easier way to do this pnp?

A local muffler shop should be able to swap out the piping for $250 or less, if that

It's just two pipes, cut and weld

You can always gut the secondary stock cats.

I believe Borla makes a secondary cat delete/test Pipe. Not sure how it is fit-wise.

Shit man....I am sorry I missed that. They said in the chat I had there was extra pip and I could gut to fit......here is the mark they sent me. I am sure the custom pipes being made is prolly cheaper this seemed quicker

I gutted my secondary cats when I had the exhaust apart installing the MPE. Where it's cut makes it pretty easy to knock them out with a prybar and a hammer or whatever you have laying around. A pipe may work also, but a prybar was nice because the bend allows you to get every bit of the cat pretty easily. Wear a breathing apparatus also. You don't want to breathe that crap in.

Fabspeed X pipe deletes the secondary cats for less rasp and nice burble. No CEL's tripped on the dash either as sensors are in the primary cats. This X pipe is directly bolt onto MPE assembly. No cutting at all. Remove exhaust can and midpipe. Swap in Fabspeed X pipe directly and clamp it all back together. That's it

dont waste your money on a midpipe.. just delete your secondary cats at a muffler shop for like $100-200

plus, you get to keep your resonator. works out well and cheaply

thanks guys, i want this to be fully reversible, hence why i was after a pnp solution'

i have since received the milltek, and lining it up with my old stock exhaust, looks like this will work fine with some minor cutting off excess pipe on mpe side

I thought removing them would give more rasp. How come it makes the exhaust sound deeper?

yeh i quite like the rasp, and was hoping it'd be more aggressive with secondary cats removed

without the rasp, it'd just be more noise for sake of it

Why would you cut off excess pipe on MPE side and not the Milltek?
