F80 rear passenger-side door won't open from inside

I went to the dealer and got the latest software last week. Now the rear passenger door doesn't open from the inside. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm assuming you didn't accidentally turn on the child protection and that the back left (driver rear) door opens okay.

It's already been said, but check the door seal and make sure the switch didn't get flipped. Happened to me, a buddy couldn't get out lol. Had to open it for him and sure enough the child safety switch was flipped, not sure if it came that way from the dealer or he accidentally did it.

When I took delivery in Munich, my child lock was engaged. I didn't find out until I had to crawl from the back seat to the front in Italy!

No. The children sit in the front in the M4

Y'all are wrong. New "feature" of the 59.0 update is that the Germans have determined that all rear-seat passengers cannot exit the vehicle without driver permission.

I keep telling you, not all software updates are beneficial!

Lol. I'm confused though...if you were in the back that means someone else was driving. Couldn't they open the door from outside so you didn't have to crawl?

I thought these were on every car for years? I think I remember them on my parent's 1980 VW Rabbit even. I have admittedly not looked at any of my recent cars to confirm though.

I ran down to the car to change my shoes one morning before walking into town. My wife was upstairs in the apartment, and the car was parked on a narrow street, so I closed the door behind me. I originally got in the back because that's where the shoes were. Not a funny story really, I was just surprised to see the child's lock thrown from the factory. I kind of panicked for a second before realizing that's what it probably was.

I didn't have an issue with being able to close the window, but I did have an issue a year ago where the auto-up would stop roughly halfway. It just meant I needed to recalibrate the sensor... The dealer walked me through it.

I don't recall the exact steps, but I want to say it was from fully close, hold the window switch up for like 3 seconds (or maybe it was from fully open). I honestly can't remember, but a quick call to the dealership should clear everything up!
