The blue looks very cool, would match with the calipers
I ended up ordering the awe Intake with the eventuri front ducts - the spool sound is a bit more subtle with the closed airboxes |

So this happened
Tried the awe and wasn't really happy with the sound - non existent with airbox lids on and way too ott with lids off Eventuri fit perfect and turbo spool sound is very subtle but still audible over mpe in sport+, it's a much higher quality turbo sound than the typical pod filter setup Last edited by domino_z; 11-09-2017 at 06:47 PM.. |

I honestly couldn’t discern any difference in intake sound between the eventuri intake ($3500) bmc drop in filter with charcoal liner removed ($250).

The eventuri is a beautiful thing but truth be told, I couldn’t tell a difference between it and a BMC drop in filter with regard to intake noise. Given the zero performance gain I just couldn’t justify it in the end - although I understand the purchase from a beauty perspective. |

Just had the Eventuri installed in my CS.
Combined with the full Akra exhaust system, it’s just perfect now. Mine seems quite a bit more pronounced than in the video above? I can hear it windows up or down, low-mid throttle in 1-3 gears. Once I get higher in the revs, 5k+, it’s harder to hear due to the Akra! Paid a shit load less than retail by buying one 6 months old. |

Yeh been running it for ages now
Swapped out filters a few times now, last swap was switching to new filter design which was slightly louder - but could just be clean filter providing more flow Have put around 15k km on it with zero issues Even bought the eventuri for my f type r, and the added supercharger whine with that v8 noise is perfect Will also buy one for my rs3 build |

Not sure what mode is, but if they're one of those intakes that put the filter behind the kidney grilles, they definitely aren't a better performer - unless you don't drive in rain and clean them every couple weeks

I paid 1k all in for this 6 month old Eventuri and donated my stock intake. Did the swap myself (with a mate who knows what he’s doing) which also saved on cost. I’ll be hunting down a stock intake from wreckers or mod shops for swapping back down the line. There’s bound to be some around from people who swap theirs out and don’t take the stocker home.
For that money I find it incredibly good value. $3800 retail plus install is a joke. |

People are stupid for selling these 2nd for too low a price.
Same as selling an Akra exhaust cheap.. These things DO NOT wear out. Drove the car on the weekend... always makes me smile. Might swap my maps over and race it again soon. |

Had the eventuri on my M3 Comp and won't be going down the same route on the M4 CS.
Looked nice but overpriced and in reality, any intake open to the engine bay becomes a hot air intake. The "eventuri" concept is nice but don't believe it works in practice. Noise was there but very subtle. Did sell it for decent cash though - which took the sting out of the purchase price. Definitely wouldn't buy a used MP exhaust given the cracking issues. |

There's a balance on second hand stuff, if you don't price it right people will just pay the extra and get new. People also like shiny and unmarked which second hand is not so it's irrespective of the function.

Yeh I don't buy used parts, just like I don't buy used cars (unless I'm buying for the collection)
But by all means feel free to buy all my used parts when I sell the car hahaha |

Living in the EPA quoted "dustiest town in Australia" I'm sure as fark NOT putting open cones in the front grill for some sound. NO I'm not looking for the 150,000KM longevity award (SCH rebuild will be WAY before that) but having a family supplied mechanical sympathy (still yet to use launch control)- keep it clean, more power longer $3-4k better spent imho?- BM3 OTS tune, some catless DP, cup2s - yeehaa. .2c
