Boot lid

Does anybody know how to adjust the boot lid ?

Mine is not opening all the way with key activation ? Not all the time maybe about 30% of the time.

What's the going price for item no. 2 in Australia? I think it's US$800 in the states.

did you end up getting the carbon front lip off the ebay bloke?

did you mount it with the splitters or on it's own?

i ordered the kit direct from bimmertech, shipping was cheap and it arrived in a few days

the diy install is pretty straight forward, they have a video online, just watch it a few times, take your time

was a fun project, really enjoyed it, but i'm very hands on with mods

after install, i coded the keyfob to be one touch open, rather than having to hold the button down, works better this way i rekon

Yes mate I did.

And it’s mounted with the splitters.

The lip has scraped lightly twice only but it’s double clear wrapped so it hasn’t scratched the carbon.

Yeah mate I’ll leave the boot install to someone else. I don’t have the time unfortunately.

I'd prefer to mount it without the splitters

Hard to find pics online to work out if there'll be a gap under the splitter

But did find this

Yes mate there is a gap. I didn’t like the gap without the splitters.

Not a large gap but my OCD wouldn’t allow it.

Ok, though it may have been a non genuine one. Brisbane BMW (BandW parts) have them listed at 2.5, that be the one I'm assuming.

Yeah

I think they charge 3-4 hundred to fit

I imported mine from overseas. Stuart at BMR fitted it.

All up fitted 2K

You two need your own sub-forum. "How much weight can I add to my M3 to negate the performance". Geez, I only half fill my tank to keep weight down...

Well the m performance exhaust shaved roughly 7kg.

All the carbon mods are probably 2 kg tops.

Way I figure it I’m still ahead.

As you can tell - performance ain’t my top priority lol

If they built an M3 entirely of carbon fibre - I’d Mortgage the house to buy it lol

What does Carly do that BimmerCode doesn't?

Nothing really as both are constantly getting updated and bimmertech now does everything Carly does and more, including expert coding

The only advantage Carly has is its own proprietary obd dongle which is more reliable connection than using a third party obd dongle with bimmercodeu
