This was the chart that got me to asking the question. You can see the differences.
Curious where/how you procured that chart? That's a useful tool, as anything else similar would be...

That is correct. You would have to pay for a crash test using the alcantara headliner in order for them to use it in production for the M3/M4. I'm guessing nobody wants to front the money for that...

What is really sad is it should have been standard IMO. Its on the M5/6. Its not that expensive. And I sat in a RENTAL Jeep Cherokee and it had it!!! Damn you BMW. When you can get it standard on a Jeep then give it to us on a 80k M car.Ok, done with my rant.

The cost that BMW Individual quoted me was $3286 above the cost of the full leather option.

They did deduct $1000 for the credit you receive when paired with the executive package. With the credit it was $2286 plus the $2600 for full merino interior. I initially thought this was an inflated number given to me by my CA that I am working with. When I questioned the pricing he forwarded the email thread from the representative at BMW Individual working with me. She substantiated the pricing and confirmed it. After contemplating, I pulled the trigger; this is the first car I've ever ordered and I have no idea if I will ever have the ability to do it again - might as well get what you really want within reason...

Also, my Individual option pushed my delivery date back 3 weeks. I am currently slated for late March 2015

Kind regards,

Chris.

If you look back you'll see that wasn't my initial question. I was curious if Individual leather was available in Extended vs. Full.

I have confirmed that it is and costs $700. Order is already in for a Feb 2nd ED.

Understood sir - I was merely reporting my actual experience in the ordering process. I had researched here and on other forums to obtain an estimate of the cost of doing the full individual interior. I wanted to report back my experience.

Good luck!

Chris.

Individual Paint Cool White Metallic

Does anyone know if Cool White metallic paint is currently available in the Individual paint color catalogue or is this a new color introduced at CES on the "M4 Iconic Lights" ?

That is a color not found in the Individual Catalogue that I have seen. It is most likely a new color for the CES show. Maybe it will be available in the future?

I can confirm Individual contrast stitching at this time is around $5,900 per BMWNA VIP Ordering Specialist. Bummer, I really wanted red stitching.

Delays with my build is a result from their leather supplier delivering sub-standard leathers to BMW. It is good that their standards are high and that their quality controls are so tight, but it sucks that I have had three delays now. I am tentatively scheduled for a week 4 build start. No worries as I am trying to get Individual Leather for this build. I'll keep you posted.

Is that the "standard individual" or were you going for something outside of that, i.e., "individual individual" if that makes sense?

I asked for the price on the Sakhir Orange stitching. It's in the catalogue, not true "custom" individual. Even the BMWNA representative was surprised at how expensive it is. Maybe the price will come down for 2016? If so, I'll be very jealous.

Yeah that's odd because I remember seeing a price of $2100 for any of the stitching in the catalog ... I'm assuming you're working with the same BMWNA person we all have (she doesn't want her name published) ... but I just tried to find those docs and can't. huh.

Bummer, but you'll still love the car!!
