ZCP with M Performance Exhaust
I'm currently negotiating an M4 ZCP deal and can't decide if ZCP with MPE would make sense. I definitely don't like the stock exhaust and although ZCP sport exhaust has improvements over the stock one, it still not enough for me. I read at couple of different places that ZCP exhaust note (burbles etc.) is not solely related to the new muffler. Some people claim that it has also something to with the new ECU. So my question is do you guys think I would get the same exhaust sound from ZCP&MPE compared to the non-ZCP M4 with MPE?
I tried to google it but apparently no one as crazy as me to order ZCP with MPE yet |

Check this video out! I'm sure it sounds better in person! I will be taking delivery of my M4 with ZCP and MPE this Saturday 4/16. I'll try and get a decent video up. I tested out a M4 with MPE a few weeks back and it sounded loud enough. Almost too loud. I can't wait to hear the burble with the ZCP tuning and MPE |

Did any of you ever pull the trigger and get the MPE with ZCP?
I'm debating it I want to put the MPE on mine but I'd love to here some examples of it on a ZCP car while moving, you still get the burbles ect right?

Unfortunately, I don't have any samples other than this crappy quality cold start video but there are other examples on youtube. Since most of the videos are recorded with an iPhone (including mine), you need to listen to them with your headphones to hear what it really sounds like. However, it still sounds different in person compared to the videos. Again sorry about the video quality and don't forget to put on your headphones |

I don't advice relying too much on youtube.
Before I took delivery of my ZCP with MPE, I have searched youtube of every available MPE videos. During delivery, the MPE was so much more louder than what I've heard on youtube. The ZCP initial start up bark is much more louder and sharper in pitch that either the mic could not capture or youtube dumbs down the quality. Try and find someone in your area who has a ZCP MPE and hear it in person.

YouTube made me think the MPE would not be enough for me so I put money on a nearly $1,300 custom mid-pipe to make it louder. When I first heard my MPE in person, I started pondering if I will install the mid-pipe or sell it when it arrives....

Right, so all my excitement for the MPE just from the youTube videos is only gonna get better in real life
No one has the MPE in my area so I will have to wait for mine.

Love my ZCP w/ MPE. It's the ideal upgrade for anyone trying to stay within warranty specs. Great sound too!

With my catless DP, valves closed, I find it a little soft. But when the Valves open its so loud I reckon I might get pulled over. To be honest I find MPE with valves open to be a good compromise.
