Random observation...

Why does the iDrive look different? It's not the knob from the E9X generation and it doesn't look like the larger touch iDrive controller on the new cars...

Doesn't have nav on this car like the MotoGP car. I think some markets might not get it standard like we do in NA. Also keep in mind this isn't likely street legal and probably has a few rough edges. It's more important it looks good than last 100k miles. Probably has some left over parts on it to keep it cheap is my guess.

True, but this is not your standard set of off-the-shelf KW Clubsports. They are heavily customized variants. As in, custom valving, custom spring rates, custom galvanized, custom internal orifices, etc. all to the manufacturer's specifications.

I'm pretty confident the same applies to the KW's on the M4 Safety car.

It may seem obvious, but I thought it's a good idea to clear up some of the confusion. That is, just because the suspension is made by KW, it doesn't mean that it's even remotely close to what you'd get with aftermarket KW in terms of quality, configuration, and overall design.

The lip and splitters should be available separately. I would expect both to come in CF as an option as well. The Safety Car will be taking a beating as it travels and is used in the races, so I'm sure that is why it is not CF on the Safety Car!

Personally, I'm loving the lip, but not the splitters. The diffuser is nice too! This exhaust should sound different than the Moto GP Safety Car that was in Austin a couple of weeks ago.

What makes you think that?

If I remember correctly, you observed that the MotoGP SC was catless. Do you think that the DTM SC still has cats? Or do you think this is a different rear exhaust section altogeteher?

The M4 concept at Pebble Beach had Eibach springs for what it's worth...

It's the knob and screen from the non-Nav F3x cars.

There is flat piece of black blade under side skirt.

OK, now I see it. for that. I don't know how come I missed it.

And yes, it does look good. Subtle and much nicer than the blacked out/taped side skirts of the MotoGB SC IMO.

I'm thinking the moto gp safety car had an exhaust that was more of a prototype version and the dtm safety car will have a production version of the exhaust. In both cases the cats will be removed but I think the rear sections will be slightly different. At any rate the BMW performance exhaust will sound better than stock IMO. I'm thinking that akrapovic will sell catless components as they did for the E9x M3. I had their catless mid-pipe on my E90 M3 and loved it when paired to the Eisenmann inconel rear section!
