The Riviera - HRE - KW - AWE - GIAC | TAG Motorsports
Here at TAG, we absolutely love it when special editions of cars make their way into our shop. Wether it be an RS7 with Audi Exclusive parts, or a GT4 Clubsport, or an M4 GTS. We’ve even loved the Jahre M3 that we got to care for last month. But sometimes, it’s not actually a special edition car that takes our breath away. No, sometimes it’s just a normal car, but with juuuust the right options. Cue the Tropical Remix, welcome the Riviera M3. An OEM color from Porsche, Riviera Blue is on a league of its own, with no metallic flake, but more than enough pigmentation to make up for it. It’s a rather strong blue, but not so much so that it lacks dynamic. With every change in the sun’s position, this color shifts slightly and brings up another hue you hadn’t seen before. As a photographer, this is both a treat and a challenge. As an enthusiast and fellow M3 owner, why the hell didn’t I order this? On the inside, things brighten up quite a bit. Full Opal White Interior with an Opal White Alcantara Headliner certainly livens things up. The white on blue combo looks like a match made in heaven, and the BMW Performance accessories inside bring this masterpiece of an interior to completion. On the outside, things escalate. The whole car is wrapped in XPEL’s Stealth film, a clear-bra solution that not only protects the integrity of the paint, but it also adds an unique semi-gloss finish to it. The result dramatically enhances the curvature of the design, accenting every body line. A complete selection of BMW Performance parts come in the form of Carbon finned diffusor, Carbon front bumper add-ons, Carbon trunk spoiler, Carbon mirror caps and gloss black front grills as well as side vents. The lower tray of the front lip is finished in Riviera Blue and wrapped in XPEL’s Stealth film to match. The front reflectors are replaced by our TAG Painted Reflector Package, done in house and perfectly matched to the Riviera Blue. The Carbon Ceramic Brake Calipers get a refresh, with our TAG Painted Caliper treatment, being finished in Riviera Blue as well. For a more enjoyable driving experience and bit of performance, the AWE Tuning Non-Resonated Exhaust does a perfect job. The optional 102mm Diamond Black Tips give this exhaust just the right look to match its sound. BMC Air Filters and a GIAC ECU Flash completes the power package, for power gains balanced with reliability. For the way this M3 literally hugs the pavement, we went with KW V3’s, for a completely controllable driving experience. KW’s have proven themselves over and over as one of the go-to’s for suspension work, and the V3’s always deliver. We now move on to my favorite part: slamming it on HRE’s! This set of HRE is a rather special one to me, as they used to be mine, and I’m now thankful I get to see them often driving around. And, if I’m honest here, they do look more at home now then they did on mine. They’ve certainly gone to a great home, joined by the owner’s other M3’s. Stablemates include E30 M3, E36 M3, E46 M3, and E92. The gang is all there. These RC100’s come in the form of 20x10 and 20x12, wrapped in 255/305 Pirelli’s, front and rear. The Brushed Finish, bright and shiny, does wonders in contrast with the Riviera Blue and Opal White interior, sending this M3 straight to the TAG Hall of Fame. Hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed putting this gorgeous thing together. 2016 BMW M3 Individual Riviera Blue - Individual F80 M3 with Porsche Riviera Blue Exterior - Individual BMW Opal White Interior - 20x10 & 20x12 HRE RC100 in Brushed Finish - 255/30/20 & 305/25/20 Pirelli Nero GT Tires - KW V3 Coilover Suspension - AWE Tuning Non-Resonated Exhaust with 102mm Diamond Black Tips - BMC Air Filters - GIAC ECU Upgrade - BMW Performance Front Lip painted Riviera Blue - BMW Performance Carbon Front Fins - BMW Performance Front Grilles - BMW Performance Side Vents - BMW Performance Carbon Mirror Caps - BMW Performance Carbon Diffusor - BMW Performance Carbon Decklid Spoiler - BMW Performance Carbon Shift Knob & Surround - TAG Motorsports Painted Front Reflectors - TAG Motorsports Painted Body Color (Riviera Blue) Calipers - Satin XPEL STEALTH Complete Vehicle Clear Bra Enjoy the photo set! so the only word that comes to mind is WOW!
The colour is absolutely stunning. The wheels fit the flow of the car perfectly. Interior, now I'm not one for a light headliner ever... this car has made me re-think this on a case by case basis. The interior pics I actually stopped on and stared at for a while. Its just simply perfect, the whole car, inside and out, from every angle. Awesome work to everyone involved in this build!
