It's looking great Alexander. Congrats
What color did you end up painting the wheels? Matte black?
Share pics please

They're actually gloss black which is 100% the way to go!!!

Why?

It changes color from gloss black, to satin black, to matte and eventually orbit grey depending on how long it's been since you've washed it

Seriously, if you have black accents on your car, do it, you won't regret it!

P.S. Those orange markers are gone now

Why do no American companies (IND, EAS) carry the m4 LCI taillights/harness yet? Kinda weird

Parts are not yet available in the states. Unless you want to pay additional shipping charges/duties from overseas, they'll be arriving soon.

Hey guys for those that can't wait here's the link to the loom I bought from Ian here in the forums who has also been posting in this thread:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/282461707029

This makes the whole set up plug and play and very easy with no cutting or splicing needed, easy enough to where someone like me with little to no comprehension of working on a car was able to figure it out

P.S. Part numbers for the conversion have been listed on this thread, you just have to source them now

Hi there THX,

Did you order the kit from eBay for the plug and play set up?

Basically the tailights that are not on the trunk lid are plug and play so you just literally connect those, if you have the harness from Ian, and you're facing the back of the car from behind of course, you start by connecting the cable that comes out of the new LCI trunk light on the left to the harness, then the other end of the harness fits the cable that comes out of the car, it's literally just a cable that connects the two different cable ends together, then you route the rest of the cable to the right trunk light and do the same thing, then you have to route the rest of the cable which has two small metal connectors to where the battery is and I know it's weird but literally insert them right on top of the existing white cable, and at this point I had my car on and played with the turn signals until they sat just right and I was done.

I hope that makes sense

You have to have the harness that's linked in my post earlier to do it like I said to do it, if not I don't know how you'll be able to do it since you'll have to splice it one way or another which isn't recommended and I don't know how to do. Good luck either way!!!!!!

It's been noted several times in the thread that F30 wiring is completely different. You need an f32/f82 retrofit harness.

Is the coding needed for this retrofit simply turning OFF the cold/warm bulb checks & error reporting due to replacing the incandescent bulbs with LED's so as to eliminate flickering on startup &/or hyperflashing?

If so, the coding can be done using Carly

Basically did the same thing on my E92 when replacing stock bulbs with LED's

We can do coding, but need the vehicle present. We do not perform coding remotely.
