Advice needed: What is the best H.A.S. kit for ZCP?
What is the best H.A.S. kit for a F80 ZCP? Looks like most of these were developed prior to the ZCP... I'm going to order one for an install next week. Any advice would be really appreciated.
Options that I know of so far: - Dinan (Progressive springs) - KW (Linear springs) - M Performance (KW w/ BMW specified spring rates?) I'm looking for a conservative drop and maintain stock ride quality if possible. The stock wheel gap in the front is too much, but I live in NYC so not looking to drop it too much due to the road quality here. Thanks! Last edited by DaveCSparty; 03-21-2017 at 05:38 PM.. |

They are actually linear: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=31
Check some of the other ZCP HAS threads and you should find others are happy with MPS. MPS was released after ZCP and could explain why they took their sweet time to release them. Could be your best bet, but don't dismiss Dinan. I remember reading somewhere that spring rates were closer to ZCP.

Then I put M-perf kit on my new 2017 ZCP - only slightly stiffer than the stock ZCP suspension. I much prefer them to the Swift. (Very comfortable on the freeway, and the ZCP sway bars help with reduced roll) *HOWEVER* If you look at the thread on the M-Perf kit there is now some evidence that recalibrating the EDC and ICM modules after lowering makes a substantial difference to how stiff the springs feel. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...postcount=1208 I now wonder what the Swift would have felt like if I'd known to recalibrate the EDC? |

Is there a difference on how long the stock shocks will last on the f80 comparing the mP HAS to the eibach springs?

Yes, if they have different spring rates.

Well they can't blame the springs if you fit the MP HAS kit can they.

MP HAS costs more but retains warranty, which is huge imo

Yup, I'd say ZCP is harsh and therefore, MP will be as harsh or harsher....
