Our wheels are built to the engineering specifications required to pass the TUV tests. With that said we are not certified for JWL or TUV. We do use the same forgings that supply HRE and other wheel companies. ISO isn't a testing certification, it's a method of manufacturing and record keeping. JWL are for wheels sold in Japan and TUV is for wheels meant for Swiss, German and Austrian laws. With TUV you need to do testing for each vehicle, offset, diameter and width. It's very expensive and it's more or less intended for mass production wheels. For more information, HRE actually wrote a very informative article about why the company has a TUV certification but not all wheels are TUV certified.
http://www.hrewheels.com/news/hre-explains-what-is-tuv One of the facilities we use is AS9100/C ISO 9001:2008 which is certification needed to be a aviation, space and defense supplier. Again it's a quality management system, which only relates to the manufacturing facility, not the product. Our other facility does have TUV manufacturing certifications, but not on each sku. If we were to mass produce wheels, with intent to sell in Japan, we would look into doing JWL/VIA certification. Remember lower quality cast wheels can also be JWL approved. It does not give an indication to the quality of the wheel. Last edited by RenownRay; 03-20-2018 at 11:38 AM.. |

No worries, there is a lot of information out there and it can get confusing. The word Quality is not a standardized term. I've been in this industry for 19 years and wouldn't represent something that I wouldn't put on my own family's car.

Wasn't to bash. Never heard of you guys and if you guys have certs it certainly sets a standard as well and expedites trust, whether or not cheap wheels have them or not. Fully custom wheels have no possibility of that basically is what I stated as "full custom" in my first response and yes I am fully aware that doesn't mean lack of quality control. However, in the past many times that hasn't been the case with boutique wheel companies. Goodluck with sales and post pics of f8x chassis cars with wheels when possible
