NorCal Intro
Hey what's up everyone, just picked up my black 2017 M4 and loving every minute! Performance package and red leather but mostly bare bones besides that... Mostly just wanted to introduce myself, but there are a few things I've been searching around for and haven't found. Please go easy on the newb if I've overlooked something obvious:
-666M wheels - I love them (I know they are somewhat 'controversial'), but wish they were black... anyone know of anyone else on here who has done that so I can see what they would look like powder coated? I could trade for the darker BMW version maybe... -Stage 1 tune - I know I shouldn't be thinking tune before I've even broken it in, but that's what reading these damn forums does to you. I'm browsing the awesome post here: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1087486 but open to any fleeting thoughts or subjective suggestions from the local guys. -Backup camera - doh! I thought it was standard (but Nav is which I will never use, wth) but apparently only on 2018s so I was a little surprised when I picked up my car (delivered from BMW Riverside) and found none! Anyone around here added one? Anyway, you might see me cruising up 101 between Sunnyvale and Redwood City. Here's my new ride stock - tinted version coming soon (and maybe black wheels too)! -Weston |

Congrats with new car ! Red on Black looks cool. I suspect it is DCT, but there is nothing wrong with it ..

Haha, yes you're right it is DCT. I had a hard enough time finding a 2017 (for the better lease residuals) and if I had to add the full manual to my other requirements I probably wouldn't have been very successful. After driving it though I have to say I do not mind the DCT and it's still fun to shift with the paddles...
