One important question, is this vin based? Let’s say down the line we want to uninstall and sell the cable, would that be possible?

Yes, tunes are delivered based on the VIN of the vehicle.

For those who asked about M3 CS software in non Comp Pack or Comp Pack M3's, I've got the software ready for both the US and European markets. Note that the CS only came in DCT, so for those who have manuals I can make a hybrid version that will be identical but work properly on 6MT vehicles.

That is of course for those that want to retain "stock software"... Stage I or Stage II software blows this out of the water. We will be on the dyno tomorrow time permitting and will post some charts

Thank you to everyone that ordered or inquired. All cables have been shipped and all inquiries have been replied too. We have a lot of exciting things coming up, and a lot of soon to be happy customers.

As always, let us know if we can be if any assistance - were always here before, during, and most importantly after sale.

That would be great, really interested in a CS map for my M3, I'm based in the UK but I guess you ship the cable here and we just download/upload the file?

You got it. We will make the process as painless as possible, and will verify this with 100% certainty tomorrow as there are a number of cars on schedule.

Will be adding some dyno charts this week, there is an old one on our site from 2016, we've come a long way since then
http://www.bpmsport.com/services/tuning/f8x-m-tune.html (4th picture, sort of hard to see)

Depending on time at the dyno, we might take the same car and dyno stock, zcp, cs, stage I, and then II. There is an F85 X5M, F10 M5, and two F8x M3/M4 on tomorrow, so will have to see how much can get done in limited time.

Just finishing up a calibration for an 2017 X5M Customer...

Interesting to see the torque limiting between the F10 M5 and the F85 X5M..

Have a look at the graph.. The X5M has 553lb/ft of torque advertisied which translates to the 750 newton meters of torque you see on the graph, while the F10 M5 in Standard form is internally limited at the 680 newton meters you see on the graph, or 500lb/ft advertised.

You can see the large difference of midrange torque between the F85 X5M and the F10 M5 between 2200 and 5300 RPM in order to get that X5 tank moving - but even more interesting is how the F85 will be torque limited in stock form in the last 400 RPM significantly more than the M5... Looking forward to OBD flashing these X5M tomorrow, they will be monsters afterward.

Top line X5M, Bottom Line F10 M5, non comp. I might also put some data out there showing the limiters of the diferent flavors of the M3 and M4.. As an example, the M4 CS has a 50 newton meter higher torque limit, but only up to a certain RPM

We're going to offer exhaust flap remapping on all of the models as well.

Exhaust flap remapping... so the valves will open and close automatically just at different RPM and load? Any chance of an integrated open/close/auto switching ability similar to the JB4?

How do we purchase tunes not listed on the website, such as ZCP or CS?

Do you have one of the Comp Pack or the 600hp LCI Comp Pack M6 or 30 Jahre? A few people have said the 600hp version really cuts power near the top

In another vendor's thread, they claim that it's not possible to flash it back to stock via OBD since OBD flashing doesn't allow the full readout or something like that. They say you have to bench flash the car in order to truly return it back to its original state. What's your take on this Mike Benvo ?

If I were to get this for my current M3 and end up in another M3, can I transfer it to my new car?

From reading the vendors posts on the thread, they are evaluating the various maps today, I guess if everything works out and the demand is there they will add the CS tune to the website.

(Well that's what I'm hoping!)

+1. I was wondering the same thing. I'm gonna lease one more F82 before the EOP. These OBD flash tunes make my decision on skipping the ZCP again easy

I believe this is correct. And this applies to all OBDII unlock solutions currently offered, and is not limited to a particular tuner. Without the original full readout you cannot return the DME back to it's original stock status including Flash counter info, nor can you do a full restore in case something goes terribly wrong.

Now some tuners might have an archive of stock tunes of different versions which they can provide to allow your to restore your DME incase something does goes wrong (assuming they have your matching software version), but it wont restore some info like your Flash counter which currently is only possible with an original full readout.

Maybe down the line this issue will be overcome, I'm not sure, but I sure hope so
