Anyone have any information when bmw will be installing these petrol exhaust filters?

I think this is gonna be a bigger deal then the drive shaft..

Ppf is gonna be installed in the exhaust, how much hp will it take away and how will it change the exhaust tone and loudness

Also some manufactures make tuning changes due to this and add sensors to the ppf..

Since the M3 EOP is coming in less then a year, it wont receive the ppf.. but the M4 still have another year or two of production, it seems thats the s55 that is gonna receive the PPF

" for production-related reasons, this pre-enabling needs to be carried out universally for the BMW M3 Sedan, BMW M4 Coupe and BMW M4 Convertible"

Looks like the M3 will receive the steel driveshaft even tho it will never have a ppf installed in its life cycle..

So people should be ok also then since it won't affect daily driving.
If ZCP is set back back to 430HP and the 666 forge wheels are now flow-form ones. Hey you won't feel the difference trust us, we know cause we build the cars

And BMW will recall all M3/M4 for retrofit with this fuel filter emission thingy and install all steel drive shafts on cars already on the street (after all it's regulation, right?), and if anyone interested I have a bridge in Seattle for sale too.

You should expect about 10-20kg+ increase in weight. Climate mafias are trying to undermine best sports car in the segment...

20 kilos is only on the long wheelbase version for the Chinese market. It incorporates a rear footrest.

Well, I did, at least. Turns out they reportedly built it with the automatic transmission, so a new car has been ordered that is anticipated to be built in February.

Anyone who's had a car built week 40 +/- actually verified the carbon shaft is in the car? I have to put on a lift to check.

Waiting on a new M3/M4 owner to snap a pic for the whole community to put this to rest!

It will take some doing, namely, removing parts of the undercarriage to actually see the driveshaft. Not sure how many care to deal with the hassle haha

Rear exhaust heatshield by the diff is open enough that you can slide a cellphone pic in from what i remember, enough to get a small glimpse of the driveshaft

put your phone on video mode with light on, slide it up in front of the diff between the heat shield and take a quick glimpse should have access there.

First its gonna be the change over from CF to steel driveshaft... But later models also will get an added exhaust part, petrol particulate filter which is the whole reason for the change over. I just wonder how BMW is going to add it, but 99% sure it will be a visible add on in the mid section of the exhaust system that will be obviously and easily visible
