You would think they would be bragging, but the first install has totally avoided one of the biggest questions. Makes me wonder. You really only have 4 big questions, price/hp gains/weight savings/sound. We have the price, Akra gave us the HP gains on their site, we've heard horrible sound clips but where is the last piece of the puzzle?
Great point.

I wonder if any of these exhaust mods are going to void warranty. I'm sure the s55 is already maxed out at it current state of tune, wonder if BMW is going to be more strict as they are claiming they will be. Id be very careful of tuning/mods with this ride

Gotta pay to play here folks, you dont buy a $80k car to put just any exhaust on it.
My E90 with the OEM exhaust mod sounded as good/better than exhausts that cost thousands more. My $3.00 shares of AMR, that I bought with the money saved is now at $39 (AAL)

I like value for my money when I spend it.

Is there a difference between this set up on the F82 and the set-up for the F80?

someone said he can't justify the expenses of this kind of stuff. Well, I think the fact of buying a M4 it's hard to justify by itself, haha. That's the beauty of this.

I've read somewhere a 20 kg weight reduction with full system, IDK if that means down pipes too, but 44 lbs is a nice weight reduction.

The poll they have shows that out of the 2100+ votes, 85% prefer the sound of the Akra vs the stock

(But the stock video perhaps didn't have the same sound recording quality of the Akra vid?)

Anyone worrying about the exhaust voiding the warranty can rest assured that the only thing the exhast will void the warranty on is exhaust related issues.

Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act before you start spouting off stupid remarks such as this.

As for the second statement, about the S55 being maxed out. Huh. You have shown your ignorance right there.

the E9x will be king forever in the sound department. it will sound better the next M3 after this one. which will probably be a a 4 cylinder with electric.

I assume you mean "king forever" only in the M3 sense, right? Because there are several cars out there that sounds better than a E9x M3...

Stock E9x M3 exhaust really isn't anything special... And many would say that the E46 M3 is the king forever in the sound department. Just goes to show that sound is a subjective matter, just like music and food etc.

This is where I have a question for Akrapovic, or really anyone who knows a lot about this exhaust...

Exhausts like Meisterschaft have a manually operated flap/cutout/whatever you want to refer to it as.... Meaning the driver flips a switch to make it louder or softer. Being that the new M3 and M4 come with an exhaust from the factory that has flaps that open/change with the different driving modes like Sport, Sport +, does the Akrapovic system keep this functionality or is it manual like Meisterschaft? I just thought it would be nice if an exhaust manufaturer did this and made it have the same functionality as the stock exhaust, just in a better flowing, better quality, slightly different sounding piece.

Thanks

///Mikey
