Yeah... she's still moored. I wonder if she got underway, had a problem, and had to dock again. I've seen cruise ships do that many times with medical issues or even a technical problem. Would make sense having that 2nd Halifax item on the itinerary. Hopefully it's not something major, if anything t all.

Just use MarineTraffic guys, forget the camera.
http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/.../shipid:731709 It looks like she's got some tugs pushing her... but what or where she's going is unclear as her destination has not changed from CA HAL.

Yup. She went from "STOPPED" to "MOORED" so the tugs were pushing her into the pier. It looks like the two Halifax stops on her itinerary were for a dock change and her 3/20 departure date should be accurate.

I wish my colleagues never advised to go to marinetraffic.com, been staring at the website for 3 days like a psycho. My wife thinks something is wrong with me and she's right. Original ETA to Port in NJ was 3/18 so I wonder if something happened as the ETA keeps getting pushed out
I also saw it go from one pier to moored at another. My Tanzanite F80 is on this ship. On a positive note, more snow in NY tomorrow so it's for the best but my OCD is in full gear. Gotta go feed my kids, best of luck to all of us on this Ship. As my Dad says, these are "Champagne Problems" |

Most likely reason for Tosca's delay.
Ok Tosca, now quit sipping hot cocoa up there, get off your butt and get down here. It's just some rain ya little wuss! . |

Here's why Tosca is having trouble... winds were the big issue:
March 20th: Tosca was still at Autoport today, no doubt struggling to unload its cars to clear storage. Opal Ace, which was scheduled for Thursday, March 19, has been pacing back and forth out at sea, and is now due Saturday March 22 after Tosca sails. March 19th: The autocarrier Opal Ace did not arrive this morning, allowing Tosca to move over to Autoport as planned. March 18th: Autocarier Tosca is also due to move from pier 27 to Autport. It was supposed to move Tuesday, but due to the high winds, it would not be able to stay at Autoport. It would not be a good candidate for anchoring due to its high freeboard, so it was likely moved across the camber to the lee side for the night. How Autoport will deal with one ship, let alone two will be interesting to hear. Here you go: http://shipfax.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

I'm a CA at Rallye BMW, was told 20ft seas, which makes some sense based on your pic of the storm. In any event, this has been one of the longest voyages I've seen, of course it's my(our) cars on the ship so I can appreciate patience. That said, we got to miss the snow from yesterday so it's for the best. Good luck!!!! Peter Last edited by PJD_F80; 03-21-2015 at 04:15 PM.. |

03/03/2015 NEW YORK, NY 03/18/2015 TOSCA 03/13/2015 NEW YORK, NY 03/26/2015 FAUST 03/17/2015 NEW YORK, NY 04/03/2015 INDEPENDENCE Tosca... well, you know where that went. Independence II is still scheduled to stop in Halifax, and they show into NY on 4/2. Faust was originally scheduled to stop in Halifax. It left Bremerhaven 4 days late and fortunately, Halifax was removed which puts them into NY only 2 days later than the original scheduled date above.

It is possible, depends how fast it clears the VPC. My 335 was in CT 2 days after it arrived.
