Got confirmation today, I'm first in line for 2016 allocations. Fingers crossed for ED in August. Pricing will be 2015 negotiated +/- invoice difference on new model year.

That didn't make any sense. Care to elaborate?
On my past 335's the invoice sheet price shown to me at the dealer came out to be slightly less than ED invoice sheet, by about $1k with options. I'm pretty sure a small dealer profit is built into the ED price.

Waiting to make a deal on the 2016. The best offer I have so far based on 2015 pricing is 1000 off ED MSRP. Which is fine by me. I don't know that I want to put down a deposit just yet...

I am not going to be site seeing in Europe so I am contemplating whether at such discounts Euro delivery is worth it (purely from a financial standpoint). It would be difficult to travel and I might just settle for PCD. My current car was a custom order but I wasn't required to put down a deposit (or at least I negotiated it that way). Dealer changed their incoming order to match my requested spec then. I am hoping something similar is possible with the M3, especially if I am doing state side delivery.

BTW: I am in the NOVA\D.C area and the local dealers here all suck.

What dealer are you working with? I've got a guy that should give you an aggressive price. I ended up ordering somewhere else for convenience, but I kind of feel bad for all his lost time and effort. PM me and I'll send you his info.

Many dealers are willing to essentially make a gentlemen's agreement based on invoice pricing (not the actual numbers of course - these will likely change for the 2016 model year) + a certain amount.

Thanks for making a thread . I didnt want to chime in on other threads because that is a long way to go. I was going to wait 5 years to get another car(M4 or cayman) but I'm turning 40 next summer so I thought it would be a great 40th Birthday gift to myself and giving my wife the honeymoon she never got in EU, then 10 years later when I'm 50 I'll get that Porsche. Right now I can't decide on a color. My past 2 bimmers were AW but always wanted a blacked out beast.

I'm looking to get a deal at $500-$1000 over invoice and am looking for a dealer who would actually do this. For those who have been able to secure these kinds of deals, please PM me and let me know the dealership and who you worked with.

On another note, I'm hoping there may be a group Euro Delivery experience this summer similar to what was done last year.
I'm waiting for the '16s. Even though dealers won't agree to pricing based on the pricing guide, they will agree to a percentage off the MSRP. The invoice on bmws are 7% below MSRPs. I think 6% off is fair and I found a few dealerships that would. My dealership gave me an overnight test drive and I almost bit on it when I brought it back. I couldn't commit since I know better than buying the first year model. I thought we would part in a bad way and he'd be pissed and everything would get shady. The sales manager was a standup guy and said he would honor our deal on a '16. Heck, I have the emails, sales order, text messages and everything that I'll archive to make sure I have the right dealer cost numbers.

Even though the aren't the closest dealership, I'm going to do business with them. Even if I have to drive for hours.

If you wait until the fall/winter, bmw will start their holiday, winter, year end incentives which is taken off the bottom line which is the invoice price. Lastly, even selling at invoice, many dealerships are making $3-4k on the cars once they meet their volume numbers. Then they make money on their cost basis or the spread on financing or Lease money factor markups. There are so many ways the dealerships make money.

Most importantly, I'm hoping a comp package comes out and additional colors.

See post #54. That's not a good deal IMO. If you don't mind paying more then Ok...keep in mind, flying to Europe ain't cheap. Plus hotels, etc. plus, the leases on ED is a bit more than stateside. Nowadays ED is not worth it from a financial standpoint. However, ED on them when they first came out may have been worth it b/c dealerships weren't budging.

But how can you be sure the dealer will not throw in another $800-$1000 bux and call that his invoice pricing. You both have to be on the same page for invoice pricing. Since it is not officially posted there is no way to contest it. The fact that they have the deposit helps them call the shots. Can you pleSe explain how this works?

The € is weak almost 1-to-1 with USD. Now is the time to travel. Just returned from Italy and money went further than it did when I was in Paris two New Years ago.

Sorry, I do need to be less jaded. I'm sure it happens on occasion. But in my experience it doesn't mean a damn thing until you have it in writing.

Btw, i'm not being an ass, just having a little fun in the morning My point is, just don't rely on others being a "gentleman"....protect yourself and make them give you that deal!

Totally fair. There are plenty of awful dealers out there - perhaps more than the good ones.

I know this was in response to MRCUR. I agree though. That's why I have sales order and pricing agreement on their letter. If they would agree, ask them to put it in writing.

Got an update from my CA the other day. BMWNA came back to say that my current order that was input for a 2015 would only be available for pickup in July, this was an expected response. I'm not sure if there was a place to put a comment in my order about wanting a 2016 or not. So maybe that was just confusion with the BMW ED department. BMWNA said 2016's will be available mid August for ED, so CA responded back stating the intent is for a 2016 with my order to be in a pending like status until 2016 ordering opens up. Just waiting for a reply back from BMWNA.

I think I have officially gone from about to buy a 2015 to waiting for a 2016 (or at least waiting to see if the comp pack will be available). Everyone is talking about the earliest 2016 ED, thoughts on when the earliest dealer deliveries will be? Hate to miss a whole summer of use before the Boston eternal blizzard begins anew.

Supposedly mid August, but it seems BMW lacks the ability to manage future orders that far in advance. Seems more like a software issue on their end. You would think they would welcome advance orders with deposits so they can get future materials into the procurement timeline. :

What a stupid law. Most people run into things in front of them and certainly rearview cameras aren't the substitute for poor parenting. I love tech in cars but some folks want a car without. Smh.
