No cf roof on M3 sedan show car? That's a bit disappointing.

As I said previously they are US specification models. US customers if the 3er is an example might be more inclined to take the sunroof option.

Optional sunroof deletes the CF roof

Interesting...so let's slap on $$$ CCB and non-LED headlights and showcase the sunroof for NA How many cup holders do we get again???

Should we be worried that the M3 CF roof will not be standard?

It makes sense that BMW is showing the 4 door with the sunroof and the coupe with the cf roof at the show. The coupe's emphasis is more sport whereas the 4 door is for transporting people in comfort.

Looking great.

SCOTT can you reaffirm that we will indeed be able not just to touch these cars during the public show dates, but also open them up and sit inside?

I can't wait to see Yas Marina in person.

You should be able to take a seat , look at the engine etc.

They might even start letting journalists into the i8 now, but they might be keeping that for the press drives. I don't think the public will be allowed in the i8.

Hmmm, I find myself switching back and forth regarding YMB. It looks pretty good here, I really hope I get a chance to see this color in person. It seems to balance on the border of being too much and just right for this car depending on lighting.

I sure hope that cf roof is standard on m3 or at least no cost upgrade.

Also it looks like that there is sapphire black M4 in the show???

Are those M4 production wheels? I thought we had a choice of all black wheels which these are not?

Totally disagree, if comfort was the main criteria to buy the M3 you are better off with an M5 or F30 M-Sport. The M3 is for buyers that want the maximum in sport that BMW has to offer but need 4 doors. I.e it would make more sense to show the M3 as hard core as it can be had. Personally I like that it is shown with the sunroof since that is likely what I will order.

That will either be off display for dealers or the car that will be placed on a pedestal high up in the M display. Similar to all international events.

Comparing between the two, the M3's slant is more toward utility than is the M4
