It's been 24 hours since Toreador left Halifax.
That's how long it would take to get here to NY/NJ.
It's definitely our ship that is here in Bayonne.

Go over and take some pics along the access road! P-1 cars are lined up in the lot right next to the VDC.

Considering the fact that our vessel tracking endeavor consistent with a few hour lag, the cars must have been unloaded already and processed and are on the truck.

:

I called our SA Tony at Bloomfield and asked him to take photos of carrier-truck arriving at dealership with our M's on it, but he said he doesn't get to see the truck since it goes directly to prep-service center.

My CA confirmed that it's docked about an hour ago. I would expect that the non-ED cars will likely be on trucks by the end of the day tomorrow.

BMW Genius told me it can take up to 1.5 weeks for them to get to the dealer. Seems much longer than we are expecting. What gives?

They are probably giving you worst case scenario time frame. If you aren't having anything installed at port i can't see a week and a half wait.

It's also a function of geographic location. Wilmington is only a 2 1/2 hr. trip tops. It'll arrive at the dealer the same day it leaves the VDC. Since the VDC is committed to release sold cars within 3 days you'll have it in far less 1 1/2 weeks.

Yea that's true, I'm about 2 hours away . I forget some have to travel further. I called genius this morning , car has t been scanned in yet .hopefully things move along today.

Same here, as of 10:00 AM vehicle hasn't been scanned by VDC yet as per genius.

The tracking on the WW website will show when it's been unloaded/cleared customs.

Hey guys, I'm brand new to the forum. My m4 was on Toreador as well. I just got off the phone with Genius and they said my car has made it through VDC and has been scheduled to leave on a truck for Wednesday and be at my dealer by Thursday. This wait is killing me! Almost there almost there

I am trying to figure out the reason there is few days delay for your M4 at VDC.

As I mentioned earlier, one of bimmerpost members recently took delivery of his M3 F80 ZCP and he said, his M3 was at the dealer the same day it was unloaded from the vessel.

Nope I have no accessories being installed. I dont underatnd what the holdup is, i figured since my car is done with VDC already shouldnt it be on a truck Monday the latest?

I should clarify that the VDC is committed to processing the cars within 3 days. That simply means they do their thing and release it for shipment. The actual shipment is and scheduling of the deliveries is unrelated.

As an aside, mine is still showing as "loaded on vessel", but then again the vessel info and WW tracking are likely lagging behind. I received notification that the ship docked at 6:00AM this morning which is obviously incorrect.

The last few days are murder by the way. I remember this very vividly from my last ED in 2012...

Sounds pretty accurate. I just talked to BMW genius and they said my dealer ETA is May 12th, which is next Thursday and my dealer is 10 miles from the port MAX. I do not have anything that is being put on at the port, so I'm not sure what the hold-up is once it is released to the carrier, but I really hope it doesn't take that long.
