Yea I meant pounds.....4k + dollars or thereabouts would be my guess

Wouldnt it be nice if BMW had these parts as options for your build so your car could come delivered with the parts fitted like any other option.
Of course this would be less profitable for them because they wouldn't be able to charge you for fitting and duplicate parts.....ie this way you still pay for the standard exhaust, mirror caps, side skirts, DCT shifter , spoiler etc and then pay again for the performance part.

Not cool.

With HUD, the steering wheel with display would be redundant. But it would be a good add-on for non-HUD equipped cars. I hope these parts will be available from some of the BMW OEM parts resellers for below MSRP pricing.

Agreed. While I'm not a fan of the other items I'd definitely order the M Perf exhaust for the weight savings if it was fitted on the assembly line.

I still don't think it is very smart marketing on BMW's part. Further, for a company that claims to be "green", those performance parts do create quite a bit of waste (I am sure almost all of the standard parts that were replaced by M-Performance parts end up in the garbage).

I don't understand why those parts cannot be factory installed. BMW could offer a small discount that covers their cost of the standard parts. This way BMW AG would still make the same profit and the dealers could also have their cut. With such a process, everybody wins, the customer pays a bit less for the performance parts, BMW and the dealer still make their profit and we don't need to throw away any parts .

The diff and the spoiler are a must for me, not sure about the splitters yet will have to wait and see them in person.

When ordering a new M4 can I order the accesories to be included in the deal? And pick the car in Germany with the accesories on it?

that sweet looking carbon fiber gear selector will most definitely improve my 0-60 time so its a must for me!! But seriously of course I will overpay and get it along with the diffuser, tips, mirrors, spoiler, side gills, Kidney Grills. I still need to see in person how low that splitter sits before deciding on that one. My driveway is long and on a incline so might be an issue.

I hope the carbon fiber DCT shifter can be retrofitted to E9X. I heard it is supposed to be the DCT from M5/M6. Is that correct?

I believe the parts are installed once they hit the port stateside. Some parts are also dealer installed. You would not have them for ED, but you will get them when the car comes back to the US. In any case, they are not available for order right now anyway.

Don't know if i can stomach those prices. However, the rear diffuser and front air splitter pieces would really liven up the AW exterior and complement the roof.

I really think that BMW needs to offer a factory fit option for these, it is soooo pointless to be left with a load of unwanted brand new parts !!!
