KW H.A.S Installed
Here is a quick iPhone pic of the ride height after having the KW HAS kit installed along with 12mm spacers. I hope to get a proper photo shoot soon.
It's fun to compare it to the 4x4 look a couple weeks ago.

The KW's are firm but not harsh. I would say comfort mode feels like sport now and sport feels like sport plus but the suspension on this car is so great bumps are still absorbed. It never crashes over potholes, etc. I never feel like I am on the bump stops and I have the car as low in possible on the front and 3/4 down in the rear. I drive in both comfort and sport. Primarily comfort. Comfort mode isolates some of the road feel you would get when say riding on a concrete bridge section with expansion joints. On comfort mode you barely feel them; on sport mode you feel them through the car. I like the feeling of having the car 'in the road' so to speak. I've been driving lowered cars for over a decade though so I'm just used to it perhaps.

Great story! I saw "father of 5" much respect don't know how you find the time...
I spent a good part of time at RTP area in NC and our first daughter was born near Duke. Glad to see a true M-car fanatic and your builds. Will follow you and keep up with what you are doing, love the new M3! Like you I've owned quite a few M-cars over the years. The e90 m3 was the least special to me and I'm thinking it can be attributed to the DCT tranny. Seeing how you gave up the M5 so quickly helps reaffirm my decision it's too isolated of a car for me. How would you compare the new m3 to the m5 now that you've put some miles on her? Do you think it's quick enough in stock form? any plans to change out the exhaust?

The good thing about having 5 children is that I get plenty of time to drive my car to take them to baseball, music, dance, etc.
The M3 is plenty fast and comparable to the M5. It's technically a little slower but I think because it is smaller it feels just a quick and certainly more nimble. I'm not going to say I will not mod it to make it even faster but that's way down my list at this point. Yes I would like an exhaust but I'm not sure which one at this point. I need to wrap my mind around the fact that the V8 generation of M cars will probably go down as having the best sound. With that being said, I like the F80 M3 better in every other way. *EDIT* - I'm probably leaning towards the MPE

Phase 1 Complete
So I would consider phase 1 complete at this point.
Chrome removed - Clear Bra - 12.5mm spacers - KW H.A.S - Gloss Black Diffuser & BMW Perf Spoiler with IND treatment - Possibly wheels and an exhaust might be phase 2 but I love how menacing this car looks though with a few simple mods. I have the front ride height as low as possible and maybe a little more than half-way down on the rear. Rides great and no rubbing over large bumps/dips in the road.

Dude.. this is exactly what I am looking to do! I even went to IND's website and pretend bought all of these exact same mods for my eventual F80 lol the only difference for me would be having SO full interior. Everything else is perfect here

Weight
I meant to post this earlier ... when I had my suspension installed, RS Augusta weighed my car. I had about a half of tank of gas in it and I didn't remove anything. Not bad ... 3509 lbs.
