We decided to go with something different then we had initially rendered. Wheels are ordered and we should have them on the car in a couple of weeks

Our HRE's were ready on Friday and we began install of the KW HAS kit yesterday. The suspension and wheel set up is completed and currently being aligned and finalized with proper height settings and alignment.
Here are some photos of the process. The car will be shot again later this week. Last edited by hgmotorsports; 01-20-2015 at 06:15 PM.. |

So, we finally had some time take a quick photo of the HG M3 this weekend after the madness that was our Open House event on Saturday. We had about 1,500 people show up.
Here is what we went for: Here is what we got: |

****UPDATE****
The HG M3 is currently undergoing development with Performance Shock Inc. striving for a direct fitment Ohlins kit that is valved and spring rated precisely for the M3/M4. This project is now on its second week and should be completed in another couple of weeks. We will conduct testing at Sonoma Raceway and we will have complete information and pricing on the kit soon. Also coming, more power! And we can't leave without a look at the design coming for Bimmerfest 2015! |

Attachment 1216854 UPDATE: MAY 21, 2015 For the past 6 weeks, our M3 has been up at Sonoma Raceway, in the hands of the suspension gurus themselves, Performance Shock Inc. There, they achieved greatness. Our F80 was fitted with the ultimate suspension setup for street and track use.The Öhlins TTX Suspension System. This kit is built using Ohlins TTX46 front and TTX36 rear dampers which are based upon the tremendously successful TTX40 damper design that captured top results in the LeMans, ChampCar, WTCC series etc. It features a twin tube design providing positive pressure build-up and has proven itself far superior to conventional techniques used in other racing dampers. Low internal friction, vast adjustment range and responsiveness even at the smallest strokes are among its virtues. The standard configuration is 2-way adjustable; 1-way compression and 1-way rebound (low speed), but is easily upgradeable to 3 or even 4-way adjustable. A major advantage with the TTX36 inline damper is the integral reservoir that makes it very compact and easy to package (front damper). The top eye can easily be re-clocked without opening the damper. No longer is the balancing of reservoir damping ("can stack") to main piston damping required to avoid cavitation. With no reservoir valve, the internal pressure of the damper unit will be kept to a minimum. The low amount of hysteresis results in excellent short stroke/high force performance. The Ohlins TTX range of shocks require very low gas pressure which considerably improves grip without any loss of damping performance. We've had the car back for a week now, and we can without doubt tell you that this suspension system has blown us away. The already nimble M3 has been transformed into a perfectly comfortable street car with a suspension setup that is capable of incredible responsiveness. The springs are indeed stiffer at the front, but PSi has setup the rear similarly, at 450lb/in at the front and 500 lb/in at the rear, compared to the 160 and 550, respectively. Now the handling... well, the handling. Out of this world. Not that the M3 needs that much improvement, but the car is absolutely flat through the corners, understeer is a word that can be thrown out of the dictionary, and the chassis responds like an extension of the driver. JULY 6, 2015 We've been driving the car for a couple of months now, and we've done just about 2,000 miles on the TTX set up. We are extremely impressed with it. The car performed very well at Willow Springs' Big Willow, and we managed a time of 1:34.5 with stock tire sizing, no power mods. We dialed in the compression and rebound settings to where we felt the car reacted best, and we are very pleased with the results. Coming this week are Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R's, in 265/35/19 Front and 285/35/19 Rear. We will be running Streets of Willow on July 11th, and hopefully we will have another chance to run Big Willow to compare how well the M3 can be set up with the Ohlins and a proper R Comp tire. Stay tuned for more developments! |

Looks good, are you running stock tire size or wider?
