My bet is that Chris Harris will drive and report on one prior to customer ordering. I don't see any reason why it won't happen very soon unless BMW doesn't have the confidence in the car. If it does not happen then I see it as a red flag.

It looks like they swapped cars at some point. The ones in the parking garage have no front plates and the sedan is equipped with sunroof instead of CF.
Looks a lot like the initial photos shown here: Then it looks like they swapped cars just before the Press Conference, hence the CF roof on the F80 & front plates on both like so:

My key fob and pictures I still had on my phone from my performance center delivery in July. They weren't that skeptical. It was an industry preview night so the general public wasn't there. In fact, there were times my friend and I would be the only people in an exhibit as the night went on.

The nav, climate and radio controls all look like an F3x. The big improvement was in the materials used on the rest of the surfaces. The seats were at least as good as my E92. They had perforations that look like they have AC in the seats at least as an option. And of course a much better steering wheel. The controls on the wheel didn't feel as cheap as the non-M. overall the fit and finish is generally what you would expect of an M. I was a bit worried before because of how cheap the F30 loaners I've had have felt in the interior.

Did you by any chance check if the side bolsters were mechanically adjustable and if there was an extender for thigh support? |

Is it more or less comfortable then standard F30 seats? Harder or Softer? Wide enough to fit a bulky guy? Thank you!

If the bolsters were adjustable, I didn't see it. The style of the seats doesn't look like they would be. I didn't notice the thigh extension. (I wasn't looking for it since I've never used them in the 3 BMWs I've owned that had them.) I spent more time trying to figure out if the seats were air conditioned because of the perforations in them. The woman that let me in the car didn't know.

I only sat in the one M4. The other interiors were basically the same in different colors. I mainly wanted to get a feel for the driving position, cockpit arrangement and visibility.

I would be really curious if the lateral support was as good as the ones in my E92. They seemed to be designed to accommodate a larger driver. I could be wrong but that is something only a proper test drive will tell!
