I have ordered one for yas marina blue,it is hard to make a decision for the color. Takes me a lot of time.

I'm holding off on ordering until I see YMB in person. If I don't like it, I'll wait until BMW offers another blue I do like or special order and pay the big bucks. I don't really like the Tanzanite Blue that will be available inn July.

I'm excited about the car but can wait. Already planned to wait until I can get the Amaro Brown Individual interior and BMW gets Carplay worked out.

Everyone that hates on Yas Marina Blue. . . What are your thoughts on Laguna Seca Blue? I think its everything *Yas Marina Blue should be and I think YMB looks utterly washed out in comparison.

I might not be the key audience on your question. I apparently don't hate YMB. I simply cannot decide. Life is cruel... colors are the most cruel part about a car purchase.

And still... I'm in the middle of swapping back to a YMB coloring of my M3 (from MG). Maybe because it's the advertising color (and it caught me), but more than that: it is a color that is not out there anywhere. Many people say, once they saw it, it completely changed their mind about not liking it. I will have to jump into cold water as I don't have the chance to see this car in person at all before I will step into the Welt on June 23.

In the end: I will like it or I will learn to like it

Laguna Seca seems nice on the pictures, but I guess I would not take this into consideration for myself as I'm not a fan of intermediate blues... either it is a darker blue (which I'm in favor of) or a lighter blue (which fits the M3 just perfect).

I guess everybody has to decide for him- or herself

I must ambit that for me when I saw the color in person it didn't look anything like any of the photos that I saw prior. In these photos the car looks very very baby blue but in person in direct sunlight to me it was a tad darker with a grey metallic tint to it.

Either way def a color that people will have to see in person to get a exact representation of it.

+1 - my thoughts exactly, BMW should post larger color paint chips in the dealer so people can see these odd colors in the flesh.

looks better with the cf roof....add some black accents and I think it will be a nice color...the only thing is that this is one of the standard offerings and my city will slowly turn into a smurf village.

Looks like baby blue mixed with some baby powder. BMW makes some of the nicest shades of blue in the business but YMB isn't one of them. Santorini, Lemans, Topaz, Monte carlo, Interlagos, Estroil blue all looks 100x nicer.

Unless the camera is properly white balanced (based on image quality that's clearly not the case) AND the monitor you are viewing the image on is color calibrated (not likely unless you are in the design or printing business) then it is virtually impossible to see an accurate depiction of a color. I would encourage anyone to view the paint in person before making a buying decision based on ANY of the photos you see online.

YMB looked great in person. It was a clear day when those pics were taken. Not under the neon lights of an auto show booth. Someone mentioned YMB may be a bit much as a daily driver. I heard the same about Fire Orange and I'm doing just fine lol.

I like that the new colors are a bit of a tribute to the bold colors that were available on the e46 and e36.

I'm excited to see everyone's M3 and M4 come in. Whatever color you select will be a win!

Saw YMB in person and it does grow on you. I would buy it if I were in the market right now. I like LSB more than YMB but not 5000 dollars more for an Individual order. We all know that BMW needs to offer a more mainstream blue like Lemans or Interlagos. I really hope they offer IB as part of the comp package when it comes out. IB is my favorite but then IMHO the E46 M3 in IB is the best looking BMW ever made. An AW E30 or E92 M is not too shabby either.

San Marino Blue looks amazing in person (and in photos), around Chicago all the "baby blue" cars are driven by old men.

I would order SM Blue in a heartbeat if offered on the M3, sadly the only blue option is baby blue, might have to order my first ever white car.
