question on MP Carbon mirrors

Hi All, Im just about to pull the trigger on an order for my next M4 to replace my 2yr old Mineral white and finalising spec.

Im dithering on the carbon mirrors... what is interesting is if they are spec'd with the build they are £400 as fitted in germany. If bought aftermarket they are £800. So a financial no brainer..

however - if i decide later on that i don't like them how easily do they come off? Are they clipped on and easy to remove or glued on and a bugger to get off again?

Unless you take the mirror glass out and glue the tabs in place once fitted be gentle with the mirror glass though there very fragile

yeah very pleased, managed to also get the MP wheel with race display as well. tough negotiations

I'm not sure if the factory fitted carbon mirrors are the same as the aftermarket MP parts as they are half the price if fitted at factory. Im kind of hoping the factory fitted version is permanent so they dont get nicked but who knows. not complaining and daren't ask the dealer as they must be fed up with my 40 calls over the past 2 weeks lol

build date confirmed as feb so looking at april/may delivery. ill update this thread when i get the car to say if they are permanent or not.

Hmm, I tried that and no joy. I took them to the dealer. They said you have to take out the mirror to take the caps off. I left them to it, they also fitted the rear spoiler and diffuser as well.

Mug? maybe, but all done.

There is a DIY for the caps on the main forum, looks pretty straight forward.
