Is there a touch screen Idrive coming in new M3/M4?

Hi folks,
I've seen a few posts stating that the new Idrive 6 will start appearing in M3/M4 with a touch screen.

I have seen the new idrive with tiles. Is there a further update?

Yes, it gets a touch screen from week 27 (week beginning 3rd July)

It's a retrograde step and not really usable on the move safely IMO, worthless upgrade over I5.

Other makes have it for years.

But at least they are not removing the controller so you can choose which to use.

The screen is not really in an ergonomic position to be able to touch it either. Bad idea.
