With this HEX tuning software, could you guys flash a non-ZCP into a ZCP?

Also, if a customer wanted GTS overrun, roar, and top speed limiter, without the additional power, could you guys flash that?

All unlocking requires ECU removal.
The process of flashing (as well as switching) can then be accomplished via OBDII port.

Stock --> Stage 1 --> Stage 2/2+?
How would this work other than through OBDII?
User "Controlled Program Switching" will allow you to switch between software Stage levels, and your original Stock File, through the OBDII port with our HEX Flashing tool.

As some of you may know, the TCU for these cars are located inside of the transmission so removal is not an option.

TCU Upgrades are currently only being offered in person at our Southern California location, or at Authorized HEX Tuning Dealers who are equipped with our flashing equipment.

I will provide the list of Authorized Dealers as the dealer tools are sent out, and after they have been properly trained with the new equipment.
Please tell me you plan to have a Northern California Bay Area dealer

Is the ability to remote flash a sw/ hw issue or you don't want dealers having it? On my last platform there was just one tuner for a while, after the other major players caught up they all kept it the same, had to send in the ECU for initial tuning. A few years later they all released remote flashing at dealers and I remember hearing that they chose to keep the initial flashes at theyre HQ only, it wasnt a hw/ sw thing.

What's the price of the HEX tool needed to be able to switch between maps? Or does it come free with every tune purchased?

And are the 60-70whp gains in the mid range or are we talking peak gains?

Are you putting a spider on the ECU board to enable the OBDII?

We absolutely could calibrate and sell all sorts of combinations such as what you've described, but it's unfortunately just not the business we're in.

We recognize that there is a market for "a la carte" tuning options and "one-off" projects, but for our business it takes valuable time that our calibrators could be using to develop other products like software for larger turbo's on the S55 motor, or starting our ///M2 development, or finishing our current Audi R8 V10 and V10 Plus Supercharger Systems and ECU software.

We are obviously also quite fond of what we've developed for the M3/M4 and have focused on providing reliable and consistent levels of increased power, along with all of these cool factor features that our customers have been asking for, so that's the product we're focused on selling and servicing at this point.

The boys at Sonic Motorsports have been spending some valuable time with us over the past couple weeks.
They too will have a nice collection of cars you can get test drives in.

They are currently removing and shipping ECU's to us, and then port flashing the various levels of ECU software and TCU software at their shop. It's just a matter of time before they will be doing everything IN-HOUSE as well!

For now we promise same day turn around service, AND we cover the cost of return Overnight Shipping.
Schedule your appointment properly and you car will be down for less than 48 hours.

I'll look into putting it on the calendar!

If for some reason you decide that you just cant wait ... I'm sure I can find a dealer who can remove and ship the ECU for you! We'll cover the cost of return Overnight Shipping.

Would the dealer be able to detect we have this tune even though we switch back to the stock map?

Does this erase any coding we have done to the car?

Our cars all being fairly new and still under warranty I lobe the option of switching between maps when we go in for service.

VF: What kind of endurance testing has your f8x been through prior to the release of the tune?

Has any kind of component protection code been implemented into the tune?

In other words, if the car were too run fat or too lean (for any unforeseen reason) or if the car were to approach the upper limits of its cooling efficiency, would your tune be able to cut back on timing/fuel/boost; etc and stay at a reduced level until the engine is back to normal operating standards and temps?

The HEX Flashing tool is optional as some people will never want/need the Program Switching feature.

For those who do want to utilize Program Switching, the MSRP of the OBDII Unit is $295. We will be offering a $100 discount through our dealer when it's purchase with the software.

The advertised HP and TQ numbers are Peak Gains at the wheels.
The MAX Gains are actually greater, and show up in the mid-range.

The dyno below is a customers 2016 BMW M4 (DCT).
Our ADVERTISED Stage ONE:
Peak Gains of 60-70whp / 90-100wtq
His ACTUAL RESULTS Stage ONE:
Peak Gains of 72whp / 113wtq
Max Gains of 104whp @ 4,900rpm / 123wtq @ 4,100rpm
The car came to us 100% stock with just over 1,000 miles on it.
This is on 91 Octane ... with no mods other than our ECU Software.
