CP Exhaust Really Opened Up

Now have about 3500 miles on my '17 M3 ZCP and the exhaust has gotten much louder and deeper over the last 300 miles or so. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, every exhaust I've had changes in sound in the first 6 months - usually for the better. I don't have the CP one so can't say, but looking like I might in 5 months!

As for Active Sound ... yeah, it needs to go immediately upon delivery

Any guide on how to unplug it in the M3?

Although, mine's still a year away.

Also unplug the valves for the best sound from the CP exhaust.

I did this with my stocker right away and it's so fucking loud in my parking ramp on cold-start The amazing thing is, my wife is convinced that's just how the car is ... if I re-up this fall I can't wait to hear the CP

I thought the ZCP in sport plus mode opened the valves so does unplugging make the ZCP even louder?

Uplugging the valves or getting an electronic valve controller lets you get the loud sport+ exhaust when just in comfort mode. I have the electronically controlled valve mod and personally when in open mode i think the exhaust is deeper and louder in comfort mode because the engine is working harder to push more force thus a deeper rumble. Could just be my ears hearing what i want too.

If you pull the plugs when the valves are open they always stay open no matter the mode. It makes cold starts extremely loud, but after 30 seconds it's back to regular

The valves are not always open in Sport or Sport+. In the higher gears, under partial load with revs below 4000RPM the valves are closed. This is to prevent drone.
