Yes!!!! Finally a real good sound clip of what this car CAN sound like...Stock exhaust is never that great; but this performance exhaust sounds way better than what I expected it to sound like. I approve!

I don't really like this sound, but the carbon tips looks good.
Watching the wideoas of a stock exhaust I can say, that I like it more.

Hope Eisenman or Super Sprint will solve the problem with that sound.

Guys, keep in mind this seems like it was recorded with a cell phone. The mic obviously can't pick up the exhaust very well, and clips badly as soon as the car revs.

Don't pass judgement until we get a better video (or hear it in person).

Holy s*** that exhaust almost broke my earphones!!!

Don't know how much this thing cost but I'll have to get one

The car looks so much better in real world footage than in those 3d renders BTW

There is one thing I admire AMG for. Their cars, stock, from factory, require no modification to sound and perform the way it should. With BMW M, you are forced to find another 4 to 5 grand for stuff like performance exhaust. Why should we have to buy performance exhaust for an M car to sound ok? It's annoying.

+1. Sounds more like a "race" version from one of the aftermarket guys. A lot of E46 in that sound.

That being said, people need to stop criticizing the sound of the M3/M4 and come to terms with it. There is a very specific sound that an inline 6 engine will make and it will not sound like an exotic car or a V8 and it will sound like a leaf blower on idle and won't be as aggressive when it is being revved. Everyone has to get used to this and make peace with it. It's counter productive to constantly argue about this.
I disagree with you. The turbos are making the entire difference in this car's sound. Listen to the E46 M3 and that car sounds wonderful with it's inline 6 sound and nothing close to a lead blower as the new M3/4 do. This being said, BMW can make a good sounding car they just chose not too. Listen to the new M235, it has all kinds of pops and cracks and sound pretty damn good! Listen to other 6 cylinder cars such as the GTR or the Porsche turbo... They all sound good but BMW does not put effort into making the exhaust proper. They want to make an aftermarket sound like this m performance exhaust and charge you out the ass for something that should have been there already.

Sounds like an aggressive leaf blower. Louder than stock, not sure if it is better. Will need to hear it in person.

Idle sounds perfect. It all goes down hill form there. The revving was painful.

I'll take it with a grain of salt because exhaust is hard to capture in video, but that sounded terrible. Been going downhill since the E46.

I was at the unveiling and took this video.

Yes, the clip is recorded using a mobile phone..Samsung Galaxy S4 to be precise.

No, the sound is not degraded by the mobile phone's mic and it is almost as good as the real thing. I played the clip on my sound system several times before posting and the exhaust sounds as good (or bad) as you can hear in the clip.

I was standing at the rear and was surprised to hear the initial low rpm sound which I found to be aweful. It was not even a rumble and felt as if someone is trying to play 2pac on a broken speaker.

At the end the guy on the driver's seat floored it a couple of times and its where you can hear the awesome race exhaust sound. It really resembled the AMG exhaust sound and if I heard it with my eyes closed then I would have guessed the car to be C63 AMG.

I am happy to answer any more questions
